Key Responsibilities:

  1. SCCM Deployment Management:
    • Oversee and manage SCCM-related deployments
    • Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve system issues to minimize disruptions
  2. Security Monitoring:
    • Maintain vigilant awareness of the security status of computer systems and hosted applications
    • Proactively identify potential vulnerabilities
  3. Cross-Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Windows, Linux, and Application engineering teams
    • Track and expedite the resolution of identified vulnerabilities
  4. Progress Reporting:
    • Utilize SCCM to report on remediation efforts
    • Keep stakeholders informed of ongoing security measures
  5. Risk Management:
    • Support the creation of Waiver documentation for unresolved vulnerabilities
    • Communicate associated risks, justifications, and compensating controls to senior leadership
  6. Decision Support:
    • Ensure decision-makers are fully informed of security situations
    • Provide necessary information for appropriate action to be taken

 

This role requires a proactive approach to system management, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication with various teams and leadership to maintain robust security measures.

 

Technical Skills:

The successful candidate should possess the following technical skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of SCCM and WSUS.
  • Experience with large-scale IT infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with OS image (WIM) patching in lab environments.

Typical Education and Experience

Typically, a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, along with 8 years of work experience, or equivalent experience in a related area, is required for this position. This educational background provides a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of systems integration and management.

 

Required Skills and Education

  • You should have extensive experience in the installation, configuration, and utilization of MS SCCM 2012 and SCCM current branch versions 1511 and above. This experience is crucial for deploying and patching software packages to thousands of desktop workstations, laptops, and servers effectively.
  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft SCCM and its current versions is essential for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Server 2016 Core, and Active Directory is necessary to manage and support the server environment effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) deployment technologies is highly desirable, as it enhances the deployment process.
  • You should be well-versed in utilizing change management and change control processes and procedures, ensuring that all changes are documented and approved.
  • Proven experience in documenting system requirements, design, implementation, and operations document deliverables is essential. This documentation is critical for maintaining clarity and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.

The pay range for this role is:

135,000 - 145,000 USD per year (Remote (Arlington, Virginia, US))
