VP OF E-COMMERCE, CRM & LICENSING


We are seeking a VP of E-Commerce, CRM & Licensing to lead our e-commerce, customer relationship management, and licensing efforts. This role will oversee the P&L for our e-commerce (non-subscription) business, drive e-commerce revenue, and optimize the digital customer journey to accelerate growth. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing licensing relationships and overseeing the P&L for licensed fragrances, a critical component of our e-commerce and subscription revenue. You will spearhead efforts to maximize retention, personalize user experiences, and convert leads across E-Mail, SMS, and Push channels. This role is ideal for a results-driven, data-savvy leader with a passion for creating optimal customer experiences in the consumer goods space.

The ideal candidate is an innovator with strong digital instincts, and experience with licensing business models. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and business development, to enhance conversion rates across all customer segments, average order value, retention, and e-commerce revenue.


What You’ll Be Responsible For:


  • E-Commerce Strategy Development:
    • Lead the overall e-commerce strategy, focusing on growth, retention, and profitability.
    • Build and execute plans to optimize conversion funnels, increase conversion rates, and drive repeat purchases.
    • Identify and implement new opportunities for e-commerce revenue growth through merchandising, A/B testing, UX/UI enhancements, and platform integrations.
  • CRM & Customer Experience:
    • Develop and implement CRM strategies that result in target conversion rates, customer retention, and lifetime value.
    • Own the customer journey from acquisition through retention, optimizing touch points across E-Mail, SMS and Push, across several brands.
    • Drive personalized marketing initiatives using customer segmentation, targeted promotions, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
  • Licensing & Partnerships
    • Oversee licensing relationships, managing negotiations, contracts, and partnerships with external brands.
    • Own the P&L for licensed fragrance products, ensuring alignment with overall e-commerce revenue and profitability goals.
    • Collaborate with product and business development teams to integrate licensed products into the e-commerce strategy, optimizing for conversion and customer retention.
    • Identify new licensing opportunities and strategic partnerships that enhance brand portfolio and drive incremental revenue.
  • Data-Driven Insights:
    • Leverage analytics to inform decision-making, identify growth opportunities, and continuously refine the e-commerce strategy.
    • Continuously enhance the tracking of e-commerce and CRM KPIs.
    • Collaborate with data teams to ensure robust reporting and dashboard management.
  • Technology & Platform Management:
    • Be a power user of machine learning site optimization technology and leverage it to drive e-commerce and CRM revenue.
    • Oversee the end-to-end performance and optimization of CRM platforms, ensuring high performance and a positive ROI.
    • Partner with product and development teams to drive site and platform improvements, address technical challenges, and enhance mobile and desktop user experiences.
    • Negotiate contracts with outside vendors, set performance expectations, and ensure they are met.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team across e-commerce and CRM functions.
    • Foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate closely with other leadership team members to ensure alignment with broader company goals.

What You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in e-commerce and/or CRM, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record with licensing business models is a strong plus
  • Proven experience in scaling e-commerce and/or subscription DTC businesses
  • Expertise with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), and machine learning-based site personalization tools
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, customer segmentation, and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management abilities.
