MARKETING COPYWRITER

About the Role 

Scentbird is seeking a UK-based Marketing Copywriter who is passionate crafting engaging, high-performing copy that converts to join our Integrated Marketing team. This role will assist with creating copy across the Scentbird and Drift brands, owning touchpoints like email, PDP, mobile push/in-app, and blog, speaking to the UK consumer in particular, and further defining each brand’s voice while driving business goals. 

This role requires a consumer-centric approach to create attention-grabbing copy that drives sales and increases the email open rate while staying true to the individual voice of each brand. 

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Creating Copy That Sells: Writing engaging, consumer-focused copy that drives conversion and meets company KPIs for emails, PDPs, launch campaigns, website elements, and the Scentbird app among other projects, translating product information and storytelling items into creative, consumer-facing language, ensuring a timely delivery of content in Scentbird’s project management platform.
  • Brand Voice Localization: Localizing the Scentbird and Drift tone of voice for the UK audience, owning the UK segmentation for email campaigns with A/B testing directed at the UK consumer, iterating UK-specific verbiage/insight pertaining to brand launches and collaborations.
  • Editorial Support: Pitching and writing editorial content for the Scentbird blog based on market trends as well as social and cultural moments, assisting in planning the editorial calendar, optimizing blog posts for SEO before publishing.
  • Editing and proofreading: Top-editing emails and blog posts from freelance writers, QAing content before publishing to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand standards.

What You’ll Need to Have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, ideally focused in Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing, Journalism, or comparable work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years writing experience with a focus in sales-oriented copy that drives conversion, ideally for a retailer, agency, publication, or brand marketing team
  • Experience working within a project management system or managing copy projects from ideation to execution
  • A collaborative, positive, and flexible attitude
  • Experience or interest in fragrance or beauty preferred
