Job Title: Heavy Equipment Field Service Mechanic- 2nd Shift
Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Type and Schedule: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:00 PM-9:00 PM
Pay Range: $25-$35 per hour DOE
About the role
- Silver Creek Materials is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Mechanic for 2nd shift with a can-do spirit to effectively maintain, repair, and manage the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles. The candidate must be self-motivated, work with minimal direct supervision, and do hands on repairs and maintenance when needed. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work in a deadline-oriented environment that requires thinking and acting quickly to resolve problems. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
What you'll do
- Heavy focus on preventative maintenance on the screening plants and stackers.
- Take ownership of the day-to-day activities of the maintenance shop including, but not limited to, equipment and vehicle repair, mobile field service, equipment and vehicle
inspections, preventative maintenance, and warranty service. - Work in the electronic work order system to track and ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Make sure jobs are processed in a timely manner and oversee the lifecycle of repairs to ensure a satisfactory level of completion.
- Troubleshoot current, or potential issues regarding maintenance repairs.
- Review and maintain service records for repairs and inspections.
- Adhere to safety standards and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure the maintenance shop is adequately s, clean, and visually appealing.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers and team members.
- Collaborate with other department team members as needed to get tasks completed.
- Clearly communicate with various team members over multiple forms of communication.(radios, email, phone, instant messaging).
- Perform all jobs duties as outlined, and others as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Ability to evaluate and repair heavy equipment maintenance, including hydraulics, electrical schematics, and diesel repairs.
- 2 years’ experience working with vendors.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment field service mechanic.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office and Google.
- Ability to meet the schedule requirements and maintain reliable attendance.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivating with a strong work ethic to exceed company and personal goals.
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions as needed.
- May be required to walk on uneven surfaces.
- Valid Drivers License required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Must comply with background check and Drug-free Workplace Policy.
- Ability to perform limited physical tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.
