Job Title: Plant Operator-2nd Shift

Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Type and Schedule: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 1:00 pm-9:00pm 

|Saturdays 7:00am 3:00 pm as Scheduled

Compensation: $18 - $24 Dependent Upon Experience

Position Overview: This role is responsible for safe and efficient operation and maintenance of production equipment, including screening plants, stacking conveyors, jump conveyors, pumps, and other support equipment within our mining and compost units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine detailed pre-shift inspection of machine daily.
  • Light Mechanical Work Required including but not limited to: 
    • Greasing of all bearings and moving parts at recommended intervals.
    • Alignment of belts on conveyors and screening plants.
    • Visually inspect machine daily for failed/failing bearings, rollers, screens, skirting rubber, head and tail pulleys, structural failures, and safety features.
    • Communicate with Shop & Equipment manager as concerns develop and when routine preventative maintenance is due.
  • Read and comprehend machine's operations manual.
  • Operate and supervise machine operation and communicate with loader operator and mining manager during production.
  • Clear debris and excess materials from around and beneath machine and belts on daily basis.
  • Assist other departments as needed.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience operating a plant or similar equipment is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills.
  • Must comply with background check and Drug-free Workplace Policy.
  • Compliance with safety regulations as outlined by the Company and OSHA/MSHA.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended time periods.
  • Ability to physically lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and able to shovel large sandstone / clay clods from beneath plant screener belts. 
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers / peers in job duties.
  • Must be dependable and coachable.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
