Job Title: Mining- Screening Plant Mechanic

Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Type and Schedule: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:00 PM- 9:00 PM

Pay Range: DOE

About the role

The Screening Plant Mechanic is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations of the screening plant machinery and equipment. This role involves managing a team of mechanics, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and meets production standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical maintenance within a plant environment, along with strong leadership and organizational skills.

What you'll do

  • Maintenance and Repair
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of screening plant machinery and equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and associated components.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

Inventory and Parts Management

  • Manage inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Order parts and supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and parts usage.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Prepare and present reports on maintenance issues, equipment status, and improvements to management.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost management for maintenance activities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.


Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining screening plant mechanical maintenance.
  • Skills:
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with screening plant equipment and related machinery.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and noisy environments.
  • Capability to perform tasks that require climbing, bending, and kneeling.
