Job Title: QA Analyst (Bilingual – QA Lead)
Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid – 1–2 days/week onsite)
Job Type: 12-Month Contract (Maternity Leave Replacement)
Language Requirement: Bilingual – English & French (Mandatory)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Analyst who will serve as the QA Lead for a 12-month maternity leave contract. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in software quality assurance and at least 5 years in a QA Lead role.

They should possess a strong background in software testing methodologies, automation, and quality assurance processes, along with a passion for delivering high-quality products that meet user and business needs. This is a hybrid role, combining hands-on QA execution and leadership responsibilities, and requires bilingual fluency in English and French.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the QA Lead responsible for overseeing testing efforts and reporting on QA progress
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business and product requirements
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Conduct manual and automated testing across the software development lifecycle
• Perform regression testing to verify that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, ensuring resolution and revalidation
• Prepare and maintain QA dashboards and reporting tools for stakeholders
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Maintain and improve automated test frameworks and tools
• Ensure all testing activities are properly documented and auditable

Specific Accountabilities:

• Monitor and report testing progress and quality metrics to the development team and leadership
• Continuously contribute to process improvements and QA best practices
• Lead by example and mentor junior QA team members (if applicable)

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Testing
• 5+ years of experience in a QA Lead or similar leadership role
• Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) – Bilingualism is mandatory
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong experience with manual and automated testing
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Tosca
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Experience with Agile (Scrum/SAFe) development environments
• Proficiency with JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Must be based in Montreal and available to work on-site 1–2 days per week

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in Healthcare or Retail-based applications
• Familiarity with SAFe agile frameworks
• Exposure to performance testing or API testing tools
