Who You Are

The Content Marketing Manager will use their passion for creating content that aligns to the buyer journey to deliver the materials our teams, prospects, and customers need. Your use of storytelling will help define, refine, and deploy Searchspring’s brand voice across a variety of mediums—capturing the attention of prospects and our audience in the process. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, you’ll work closely with the Marketing, Sales, Product, Enablement, and Customer Support teams to develop content that addresses the challenges facing today’s ecommerce retailers and inspires them to take action through the use of compelling copy and research-based recommendations. You will have the opportunity to directly contribute to important marketing initiatives as a key contributor on our global go-to-market team. 

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate with enablement to support Customer Success, Sales, Partnership, and Product marketing initiatives with messaging and ensure brand accuracy in enablement materials such as one sheets, slide decks, sales scripts, social posts 
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to define and communicate the Searchspring story with both internal and external communications, especially PR 
  • Develop a comprehensive content calendar that aligns with our product roadmap, Growth and Partner campaign plans
  • Build content strategies that resonate with an ecommerce-focused audience and align with our business goals and GTM initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and revenue operations to support marketing campaigns and initiatives with content (including blog posts, emails, ebooks, case studies, infographics, website copy) that aligns with our campaign plans to drive high quality leads and nurture through the funnel
  • Collaborate and work closely with top executives, key stakeholders, SMEs, and customers to produce industry-leading content
  • Make recommendations for content channels and opportunities to amplify our message
  • Edit and improve existing content to ensure it meets quality and editorial standards 
  • Own the website for copy and messaging, ensuring it stays up-to-date with new content, pages, coverage of features and initiatives, keeping it on brand and ensuring optimization for SEO
  • Own the analyst relationship and research industry trends, spearheading ideas for new marketing content and initiatives based on analyst feedback
  • Maintain and evolve Searchspring’s brand voice and tone in line with existing guidelines and organizational goals
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the content you develop, and provide insights and recommendations for improvements


How You Will Succeed

The ideal candidate for this position is a hardworking, creative content marketer who keeps up with digital trends and is eager to develop content plans and content that drives sales, increases engagement, and raises brand awareness. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment but also feels comfortable working independently—relying on their skills and knowledge to solve problems both as a team and as an individual contributor. This is a full-time, remote position with infrequent but occasional early/late hours needed when communicating with colleagues around the globe. 

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in content marketing and developing copy and digital content for a SaaS audience or similar industry

  • Strong portfolio of previous work and accompanying results required
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills; knowledge and understanding of AP Style is a must
  • Experience with PR, podcasts, video script writing, and social media storytelling preferred
  • Expertise in SEO principles and best practices
  • Experience using project management software (preferably Asana)—ability to organize, track, and remain accountable for both individual tasks and cross-team initiatives
  • Interested in understanding how your contributions impact our customers’ growth and increase revenue for the business
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
  • A sense of humor, curious mind, and flair for creativity
  • Ecommerce experience required
