What you'll do:
We're looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to fast track our growth in APAC. As a highly motivated Business Development Manager your role will be a crucial part in building relationships to uncover new opportunities, driving revenue into our pipeline and exceeding sales targets. You will be confident in achieving the following:
- Deliver high performance, with high accountability to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Grow 2.5x pipeline through the qualification and development of marketing qualified leads (MQL’s), partner leads as well as self-generated opportunities
- Hunt to uncover new leads and opportunities within our nominated target verticals through consistent and effective outbound prospecting, including attending virtual and face-to-face networking events and conferences, and utilising sales prospecting tools including Sales Navigator to set up prospect meetings
- Build strong client relationships, with the proven ability to develop trust and credibility
- Undertake qualification and discovery calls/meetings to nurture leads and opportunities through the sales cycle to closed deals including preparing sales presentations and proposals that create compelling businesses cases that deliver ROI outcomes to customers
- Utilise the CRM for high productivity and effective lead and prospect nurturing including maintaining up-to-date contact details, activities, tasks and events, as well as timely and accurate pipeline and forecast information
- Collaborate with Marketing to establish initiatives and campaigns to support lead generation efforts in nominated key verticals
- Contribute to the performance and culture of the sales team, as well as the wider team culture of Searchspring whilst always living our corporate values
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Searchspring’s offerings and the ecommerce industry as a whole

What we're looking for
- A proven track record of success in a B2B sales role spanning both business development (prospecting) and negotiating deals through to a successful close is required
- Experience in confidently following a software sales methodology to achieve sales success
- SaaS experience in a comparable company - Mid-market buyers, fast sales cycle
- Experience in ecommerce technology is an advantage
- Excellent verbal, written, listening, presentation and negotiation skills. You must be credible with prospects, customers, partners, and internally across the organisation at all levels including senior management
- Top performer, highly motivated, results oriented, with experience of overachievement
- Sales admin discipline including maintaining up to date CRM, forecasting and pipeline accuracy

This role will be reporting to the Head of APAC and can either be based from our Melbourne office or working remotely from within Australia, with a preference for Sydney, Melbourne or Queensland.
