The Fiserv DNA - Application Systems Developer is responsible for oversight, maintenance, and proactive solution delivery related to our Core System, FISERV DNA. The role provides Core application system expertise, manages Core applications, provides liaison support between customers and Core application vendor provides troubleshooting support for applications, and performs applications upgrades and enhancements. This is an exciting opportunity to bring forth new ideas and see those ideas come to life!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Create, modify, and update system jobs, schedules, and procedures to comply with new operational solutions.
  • Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and solutions by combining technical expertise with a solid understanding of basic software design concepts throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Determine best solution given requirements for applications. 
  • Responsible for system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. 
  • Responsible for identifying areas of improvement in existing code and implementing those improvements.
  • Responsible for facilitating the effective use of computerized information systems by applying a comprehensive knowledge of technology support, automate and improve existing systems. 
  • Monitor and ensure application bandwidth utilization, performance and stability remains at acceptable levels
  • Provides application security sufficient to meet the Credit Union’s needs and regulatory requirements
  • Develops and maintains documentation including but not limited to written and operating procedures
  • Analyze projects to identify and propose solutions to IT management which may include opportunities to automate functions, streamline data interaction between systems and provide accurate, efficient and effective operations by general Credit Union staff. 
  • Able to self-direct to automate and improve business processes and interactions with limited guidance.
  • Participates in discussions with Engineers and technical leaders to help define the team’s technology roadmap and vision. 
  • Installs, tests, and maintains Core related application software, including but not limited to upgrades, patches and critical fixes
  • Supports cross functional business needs as needed
  • Troubleshoot server and application issues
  • Consistently meets deadlines and project deliverables.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate of Science degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Core System (Fiserv DNA)
  • Two (2)+ years’ experience in IT profession
  • Two (2)+ years financial institution experience
  • Intermediate experience with SOLID design principles, Object-Oriented Programming and Design, demonstrated through regular communication, usage, and presentation
  • Proficient with .NET, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript/Typescript, Python. Knowledge of Open Source (OSS) technologies Understanding of relational and non-relational data modeling and data analysis
  • Two (2)+ years work related skill, knowledge, experience working with core mainframe systems
  • Two (2)+ years of hands-on experience administering DNA core system & automation system or related job automation system is preferred. 
  • Intermediate Oracle experience
  • One (1)+ year direct experience as an application analyst or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge Fiserv products
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Intermediate Oracle experience
  • Intermediate SQL experience
  • Knowledge of financial institution operations 
Working Conditions: 
  • This is work performed remotely.
  • Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.
  • The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
