Chief Revenue Officer

At SecondShop, we’re a team of Canadians who believe in doing better—for our country, your wallets, and our planet.

We started with a simple idea: why should perfectly good products go to waste or sit unsold when people like you are out there looking for smart ways to save? We have made it our mission to source the highest quality open-box, overstocked, and scratch-and-dent products from the top brands - offering them to Canadians at up to 50% off. But we are not just about savings—we’re about changing how people shop. Say goodbye to paying full price and hello to smarter spending.

Role Overview:

SecondShop is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to spearhead our revenue growth strategy, with a primary focus on scaling our B2B partnerships and maximizing overall revenue. As a senior leader, you will drive the development and execution of innovative sales strategies, oversee the business development team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to position SecondShop as a leader in the recommerce market.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with deep expertise in B2B sales, revenue management, market expansion, and inventory-driven marketing strategies.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define and execute a comprehensive revenue growth strategy, driving alignment across supply, marketing, and product functions to achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • Identify, develop, and manage high-value partnerships with wholesalers, resellers and other key stakeholders to expand SecondShop’s presence across Canada.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a world-class revenue organization, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets, including international territories, leveraging deep insights into market dynamics and regulatory landscapes.
  • Oversee the development and management of a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent and predictable revenue streams through effective deal closure and partner engagement.
  • Drive marketing planning efforts that are strategically aligned with internal inventory and sales needs, ensuring promotional campaigns are effectively timed and targeted to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Leverage analytics and performance metrics to refine sales strategies, optimize resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement across all revenue channels.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to align revenue strategies with organizational objectives, influencing company vision and long-term growth planning.

Who we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 10 years in senior sales, business development, or revenue leadership roles, with a demonstrated ability to scale B2B organizations and achieve sustained revenue growth.
  • Minimum of 3 years leading high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Deep knowledge of retail industries, particularly in e-commerce or consumer goods.
  • Expertise in structuring and closing complex deals that deliver long-term value for both SecondShop and its partners.
  • Ability to craft and execute forward-looking strategies that align with market trends and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and effectively present SecondShop’s value proposition to potential partners.

What we offer:

  • A competitive base salary, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of remote work with occasional travel to attend in-person team meetings or events.
  • Access to exclusive discounts on SecondShop products for yourself and your family.
  • As a growing startup, SecondShop offers ample opportunities to take on new challenges, contribute to shaping the company’s future, and take ownership of key initiatives.
  • Join a passionate and mission-driven team that values collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to sustainability and responsible shopping.
  • Align with a company that believes in sustainability, smart spending, and improving the lives of Canadians. You'll have the chance to make an impact every day!
