Role Overview:


SecondShop is looking for a hands-on Growth Lead with a strong background in B2C product marketing to drive customer acquisition and engagement without relying heavily on traditional brand-building techniques This role will focus on growth hacking by blending organic and paid marketing channels. The ideal candidate will have an initiative mindset, a strong grasp of data-driven decision-making, and the ability to work collaboratively across product, marketing, and design. 


What you'll be doing:

  • Build and execute a comprehensive growth plan focused on high-impact growth across multiple channels targeting SecondShop’s ideal customer profile(s), with a strong emphasis on growth hacking to find quick wins and drive efficiency. 
  • Run frequent, data-driven growth experiments (e.g., A/B tests, viral loops, referral programs, and growth hacks) to quickly identify the most effective tactics for rapid customer acquisition and retention. 
  • Identify and implement innovative organic growth strategies, including SEO optimization, content marketing, influencer collaborations, and community engagement, using creative, resourceful approaches that amplify reach. 
  • Lead cost-effective paid campaigns where appropriate, ensuring paid efforts integrate seamlessly with organic strategies. 
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to leverage product-led growth techniques, optimize the user journey, and increase activation and retention. Contribute to product direction using learnings from consumer insights.  
  • Plan and execute new product launches, feature releases, and other go-to-market initiatives that drive user acquisition and engagement.  
  • Analyze growth metrics to identify key levers for growth. Regularly report on progress, learnings, and key metrics. 
  • Develop a content and community-building strategy to increase engagement, trust, and loyalty among users. 
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends, tools, and techniques, integrating new ideas and growth opportunities into the marketing strategy. 

Who we are looking for:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role, within a B2C startup or high-growth environment with a focus on marketing consumer products to end-users.  
  • Demonstrable experience driving growth through both organic and paid marketing strategies with clear examples of successful initiatives in a B2C organization.  
  • Strong ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making and identify growth opportunities. 
  • Resourceful problem solver who can find and execute growth opportunities creatively, even with limited budgets. 
  • Familiarity with growth and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.) and experience with SEO and content marketing best practices. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to drive growth objectives.  
  • Comfortable with rapid iteration and responding to the changing needs of a fast-paced startup environment.
