Role Overview:


SecondShop is seeking a detail-oriented Risk Analyst - Warranty to join our team and help manage and mitigate risks within our warranty operations. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying potential risks, and developing strategies to optimize our warranty offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience in risk assessment, and a passion for delivering solutions that drive operational excellence.


What you'll be doing:

  • Monitor and analyze warranty performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the financial, operational, and compliance risks associated with warranty programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and optimize warranty processes and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment on risk management initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of risk management policies, procedures, and best practices specific to warranty operations.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks that could impact warranty programs.
  • Provide guidance on pricing models and terms to balance risk and profitability effectively

Who we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk analysis, data analysis, or a related field, preferably within the warranty, insurance, or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work with large datasets and extract actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and tools, as well as regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field is preferred.
