Seen TV is a media-tech company with 8 million subscribers. We build tools that guide everyday people through the storytelling process, enabling us to create citizen journalism shows. 

Our shows include Seen Health, focusing on physical health conditions and how people survive them, Seen Minds, a mental health show, and Seen Survivors, which tells the stories of survivors of assault and domestic violence. We also have international shows dedicated to  important but misrepresented global topics, like Palestine.

That’s also why we’re called Seen, because we make people feel seen, particularly communities often overlooked by traditional media. 

While we are currently a viral video publisher focused on delivering impactful stories to a young audience of 13 to 24-year-olds, predominantly in the US, we are now expanding globally into regional markets. These include the African continent, and the Middle East. Additionally, we are expanding into new verticals and broader subjects.

Over the last seven years, our growth has been driven by social media consumption on phones, but the next seven years will be focused on headsets and spatial storytelling. We are making substantial investments into creating the content and media company of the future, targeting platforms like Apple Vision Pro and other headsets.

As augmented reality and Web3 evolve, with stories overlaid onto the world, our goal is for those same unseen communities to be visible and heard in new, meaningful ways. Their stories, seen overlaid onto the world. That’s how we aim to create a more empathic and understanding world. By helping audiences see reality, through other people’s perspectives.

Job Description  

Do you spend all day watching Tiktok content? Then this job is for you. Seen TV is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Junior Producer who can find amazing characters on Tiktok, who we’ll then feature across many platforms. The ideal candidate has worked at another viral video publisher like LadBible or Buzzfeed. You know exactly how to engage Gen Z viewers. Special preference for someone with Snapchat publishing experience (because that’s our main platform!) 

As a Junior Producer, you’ll identify trending convos around topics like mental health, body positivity, and other U.S. youth cultural moments. You should also understand key moments in the U.S. school and college calendar, like spring break and prom season, to create appropriate programming. 

This is a remote role (work from home!) and the candidate can be based anywhere in the world, but must really understand U.S. Gen Z culture and trends.

Responsibilities 

- Publish and curate content for 10 Snapchat shows, ensuring it resonates with a 13 to 24-year-old U.S. audience.

- Stay informed on trending topics relevant to Gen Z U.S. culture, responding quickly to shifts.

- Understand key moments in the U.S. school and college calendar to create relevant programming (spring break, prom season, etc.).

- Work independently in a remote role, managing your own hours and focusing on output and performance.

- Help ensure Snapchat shows are cash flow positive by understanding revenue generation through viral video publishing.

- Collaborate with citizen storytellers to remotely direct their narratives and bring impactful stories to life.

Requirements  

- Journalism experience, with proven editorial and fact-checking abilities

-Previous experience in content production for Snapchat with deep understanding of the platform

- A self-driven work ethic with strong organizational skills to manage multiple shows and deadlines remotely.

-Experience with scripting for social media platforms, data analytics, and insights to inspire new story ideas.

-Basic video editing skills is handy
