Head of Seen Palestine

About Seen TV

Seen TV is a media-tech company with 8 million subscribers. We build tools that guide everyday people through the storytelling process, enabling us to create citizen journalism shows.

Our shows include Seen Health, focusing on physical health conditions and how people survive them, Seen Minds, a mental health show, and Seen Survivors, which tells the stories of survivors of assault and domestic violence. We also have international shows dedicated to  important but misrepresented global topics, like Palestine.

That’s also why we’re called Seen, because we make people feel seen, particularly communities often overlooked by traditional media.

While we are currently a viral video publisher focused on delivering impactful stories to a young audience of 13 to 24-year-olds, predominantly in the US, we are now expanding globally into regional markets. These include the African continent, and the Middle East. Additionally, we are expanding into new verticals and broader subjects.

Over the last seven years, our growth has been driven by social media consumption on phones, but the next seven years will be focused on headsets and spatial storytelling. We are making substantial investments into creating the content and media company of the future, targeting platforms like Apple Vision Pro and other headsets.

As augmented reality and Web3 evolve, with stories overlaid onto the world, our goal is for those same unseen communities to be visible and heard in new, meaningful ways. Their stories, seen overlaid onto the world. That’s how we aim to create a more empathic and understanding world. By helping audiences see reality, through other people’s perspectives.

It’s sad seeing great creative talents— often use their skills to sell products which are detrimental to society. Come apply your creativity to meaningful stories. And for those trying to fix old, traditional media companies, come build a new future-focused one.

Job Description

Seen TV is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Seen Palestine to lead our editorial efforts in the region. As a company, we have unapologetically taken a clear position on the Palestine, recognizing Israel’s actions as apartheid, in line with the ICC and major global human rights organizations. Apartheid is illegal under international law, and like movements such as #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo, we are taking a stand. Unlike many other media organizations, we do not claim neutrality on this subject. However, we are committed to maintaining objective, fair, and balanced storytelling, and are looking for someone who can navigate this complex landscape with integrity.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating viral video content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms, reaching millions of viewers. In addition to short-form, high-impact content, the role also demands the ability to produce long-form documentaries and podcasts. We are looking for someone who can successfully stretch across this wide range of formats and storytelling styles, combining the immediacy of viral video with the depth of long-form investigative content.

Additionally, this role requires experience in managing and growing partnerships with patrons and NGOs. Seen Palestine operates under a patronage model, supported by citizens who sponsor our work, as well as partnerships with NGOs. The Head of Seen Palestine will need to manage these relationships effectively, ensuring the continued support of our mission through strong communication and collaboration with both our patrons and organizational partners.

Responsibilities

- Lead the editorial direction of Seen Palestine, managing a team of local creators and storytellers.

- Curate, review, and verify all content to ensure it aligns with Seen’s mission and editorial standards.

- Oversee the production of rapid-fire news, explainers, and serialized documentaries.

- Collaborate with the global Seen team to scale content internationally while maintaining authenticity.

- Foster relationships with Palestinian creators, journalists, patrons, NGOs, and partners to grow the platform's reach.

- Ensure the stories created represent a diverse and authentic portrayal of life on the ground, while maintaining hope and aspiration in storytelling.

- Stay informed on regional developments, maintaining a sensitive and ethical approach to all content.

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in editorial, journalism, or media content creation.

- Strong understanding of the Palestinian context and issues facing the region.

- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and content production.

- Extensive experience with viral video content creation across social platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, reaching wide audiences.

- Ability to produce long-form content, including documentaries and podcasts.

- Excellent editorial judgment and a commitment to factual accuracy and responsible storytelling.

- Experience managing relationships with patrons, NGOs, and partners.

- Fluency in English is required; fluency in Arabic is a plus.

- Familiarity with user-generated content (UGC) and grassroots journalism is a plus.
