HR Generalist

Job Title: HR Generalist

Report to: VP of HR

Job Summary:  

The HR Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Human Resources and serves as the primary owner of payroll processing, employee benefits, and core HR operations. This role partners closely with the VP of Human Resources to ensure employees receive an exceptional experience throughout the employee lifecycle while maintaining accurate, compliant, and efficient HR processes. This position reports to the VP of Human Resources and will receive payroll training and ongoing partnership from the VP of Finance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to

  • Process biweekly payroll accurately and maintain payroll records, deductions, and related documentation.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee support.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes.
  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate onboarding and off-boarding activities, including new hire paperwork and system setup.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions and other HR documentation.
  • Support company culture and employee engagement initiatives, including employee gifting and celebration.
  • Support the VP of Human Resources in developing, implementing, and sustaining employee engagement and culture initiatives that reinforce company values and strengthen the employee experience.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and HR programs.
  • Assist with HR compliance, reporting, audits, and policy administration.
  • Partner with the VP of Human Resources on HR projects and continuous process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; Rippling experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in the Google Workspace tech stack.

The pay range for this role is:

60,000 - 70,000 USD per year (St. George Headquarters)
