📊 Staff Accountant

Location: In-Person | Austin, TX
Type: Full-Time

Salary - $50,000 to $65,0000 per year (final amount will be dependent on experience)

We’re on the hunt for a detail-loving, strategic-minded, confidentiality-honoring Staff Accountant to help us keep our financial house (and our CEO’s) running like a well-oiled machine. This isn’t your average number-crunching gig—this role plays a big part in helping us make smart, strategic moves as a company and ensures our founder’s personal finances are just as on-point as our balance sheet.

You’ll also be a trusted right-hand to our CEO, helping manage and streamline his personal finances with excellence, integrity, and top-tier confidentiality.


🧠 What You’ll Need to Succeed

✅ Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of Accounting/Business Analysis experience
  • 2+ years of Bookkeeping experience
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar
  • Top-notch written & verbal communication skills
  • A commitment to confidentiality and integrity
  • Master multitasker who can prioritize like a pro
  • Solid grasp of accounting and corporate finance principles
  • Sharp eye for details (you spot the $0.02 discrepancy no one else does)

⭐ Bonus Points (Preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Master’s degree or CPA (we love pros who go the extra mile)
  • Experience with financial forecasting and statistical analysis
  • You enjoy leveling up—continuous learning is your thing
  • You notice data patterns like Sherlock Holmes notices clues
  • SQL knowledge (a big plus!)

🧭 What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Closing the books with 95%+ accuracy at least 3 days before each monthly Financials With A Coach (FWAC) meeting
  • Executing accounting tasks on time, every time
  • Offering strategic financial insights that influence key decisions
  • Handling corporate and personal transactions efficiently
  • Owning the CEO’s personal financial management (yep, it’s a big deal!)
  • Collaborating with team members like a financial rockstar
  • Thinking analytically and solving problems with precision
  • Communicating clearly and confidently, internally and externally

  • QuickBooks (or a similar accounting platform)
  • Google Sheets + Excel
  • Bill.com, PayPal, Rippling, Asana, Slack, HubSpot
  • Bonus: SQL or data querying tools for deeper insights
