About Sennos
Sennos is rapidly emerging as the global leader in AI-driven sensing, analytics, and control for the Fluid, Fermentation, and Bio-manufacturing industries. With a revolutionary integration of hardware, software, and real-time multi-parametric data, we have quietly built the world’s most advanced sensing system and largest AI-powered fermentation data warehouse. By owning the entire stack—from sensing hardware to data infrastructure—we have delivered a breakthrough solution that reveals complex biological and chemical interactions, predicts precision outcomes, and enables next-generation production control.
Sennos is a rapidly growing start-up looking for someone who can quickly adapt to a changing environment and who has the desire to grow with us!
Position Summary
The Senior ISS Product Manager owns the Intelligent Soft Sensor (ISS) product line and the SennosIQ+ premium tier. ISS are virtual sensors that use Sennos's existing hardware platform and proprietary data models to derive measurements that traditional sensors cannot provide — from fermentation activity characterization to cooling system health to material classification.
This role is responsible for defining sensor requirements, pricing and packaging, and go-to-market positioning for a new revenue stream that expands what's measurable from our installed base without additional hardware. As the first people manager hire on the Product team, this person manages the Product Owner for Data & Analytics and coordinates closely with Data Science on model development, validation, and production deployment. This is a senior, revenue-accountable role for someone who can productize advanced analytics capabilities — bridging data science and product delivery while building a team around a new business line.
Responsibilities
- Own the ISS (Intelligent Soft Sensor) product line across all 11 planned sensors spanning process intelligence, equipment health, and material analysis — from definition through launch, including sensor requirements, model validation criteria, and phased rollout planning
- Define pricing, packaging, and go-to-market positioning for SennosIQ+ as a premium analytics tier, including the usage-based credit model for compute-intensive sensors
- Manage the Product Owner for Data & Analytics, providing direction, coaching, and career development
- Partner with Data Science as a peer on model development priorities, validation protocols, and production readiness criteria — jointly owning the path from model to shipped virtual sensor
- Define model lifecycle requirements including performance monitoring, drift detection, retraining triggers, and validation standards for production ISS models deployed across the installed base
- Establish ISS-attributed revenue tracking and own conversion and upsell metrics across the IQ customer base, including IQ → IQ+ conversion and credit consumption patterns
- Define the rollout sequence for ISS sensors, balancing customer value, model readiness, data availability, and commercial opportunity across the 2026–2027 roadmap
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to position ISS capabilities during customer conversations, demos, and upsell motions — translating virtual sensor outputs into language process engineers and brewmasters understand
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent years of experience)
Experience:
- Senior-level product management experience with direct ownership of a revenue-generating product line
- Experience productizing data-driven, analytics, or AI/ML capabilities into commercially viable offerings — not just managing features, but building the business model around them
- Track record of defining pricing and packaging for premium product tiers, usage-based models, or add-on features
- People management experience, including coaching and developing product team members
Skills:
- Sufficient ML/analytics literacy to evaluate model performance, understand validation approaches, and make informed tradeoffs between model accuracy, computational cost, and product shipping timelines
- Strong analytical skills, with comfort defining success metrics, building business cases, and tracking revenue attribution at the product line level
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Strategic thinking with strong business acumen
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in industrial analytics, process monitoring, predictive maintenance, or sensor-derived virtual measurements
- Experience in food & beverage, brewing, fermentation, or adjacent process industries where domain expertise shapes what analytics are valuable
- Familiarity with soft sensor, inferential measurement, or virtual sensor concepts as productized by companies like Emerson, Siemens, or Honeywell in industrial settings
- Experience launching premium or usage-based product tiers with clear conversion and consumption metrics
- Comfort operating in a growth-stage environment where the product, pricing model, and customer base are all taking shape simultaneously
Team Working Style
- Operates as both an individual contributor on product strategy and positioning, and a people manager coaching the Data & Analytics PO
- Partners with Data Science as a peer — co-defining success metrics, jointly evaluating model readiness, and sharing accountability for production outcomes
- Values clear ownership of outcomes, transparent metrics, and iterative refinement over perfect launches — ISS sensors ship in phases, not all at once
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Office setting with remote/hybrid flexibility
- Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings, team collaboration, or industry events (estimated 10-20%)
