As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the mastermind behind planning the daily delivery, pickup, and servicing of our portable sanitation equipment. You are the analytical puzzle solver who efficiently navigates operational opportunities, orchestrating asset movements in real-time to ensure the completion of all daily tasks. Serving as the direct line of communication for our drivers, you'll be an internal advocate, ensuring our drivers meet customers' expectations in an ever-changing work environment. Anticipating problems and driven to achieve perfection, you play a crucial role in our operations.

Job Responsibilities: 

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: 


Communication: 

  • Resolve customer-related issues and provide ETA as needed. 
  • Answer radios and calls from drivers, assisting with requests and advocating for their needs. 
  • Monitor drivers' status throughout the day, assigning additional work as needed. 
  • Communicate with operations team, identifying potential route and service issues. 

 Route Administration:  

  • Close work orders, maximize time, and review driver hours to prevent burnout. 
  • Efficiently route a large number of work orders daily, adding notes, re-sequencing stops, and updating geocodes. 
  • Review delivery instructions and proactively assess the needs and challenges of each site. 
  • Optimize equipment loads with various truck/trailer combinations and water capacities. 
  • Create load sheets for yard personnel by identifying required deliveries. 
  • Collaborate with other dispatchers to plan efficiently for large events. 
  • Perform inventory control during peak seasons. 
  • Handle afterhours and weekend work, returning customer phone calls, assisting drivers, and managing labor call-offs. 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Proficient data entry skills. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Basic knowledge of local cities and streets. 
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and problem-solve in high-pressure situations. 
  • Previous logistics planning experience preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 20 USD per hour (Gary, IN)
