We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure our fleet of service trucks and trailers remains safe, operational, and compliant with DOT regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to learn, and enjoys solving problems.


Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and light repairs on our truck and trailer fleet, including:

  • Conducting seasonal and monthly preventative maintenance services such as:
    • Oil changes and lubrication
    • Checking and maintaining fluid levels
    • Inspecting U-joints, bearings, PTO shafts
    • Examining air and exhaust systems
    • Evaluating tire condition and brake performance
    • Reviewing suspension systems
    • Performing light electrical repairs
    • Servicing steering and fuel systems
  • Performing light-duty mechanical work as needed
  • Transporting trucks to satellite branches for scheduled maintenance and repairs
  • Keeping detailed records of maintenance work, parts inventory, and services completed
  • Repairing hoses and wands as required

Qualifications:

  • Experience in preventative maintenance or general mechanical work (required)
  • Completion of mechanic courses or equivalent truck maintenance knowledge (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
  • Basic set of personal tools
  • Fundamental computer skills for logging service and inventory data
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Plumbing experience is a plus
