About the role
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Lehi, UT (Hybrid)
Reports to: Manager of New Rep Success
Pay: $55k-$65k/salary DOE + Bonuses
The New Rep Sales Coach is responsible for successfully managing the new Rep population within an assigned region throughout their first 90 days with Sharetown. Reps are divided into regions, and each Coach owns the new Rep experience and performance within their region. That means knowing where their Reps are in the journey, identifying who is moving forward and who is getting stuck, and taking action to keep Reps progressing toward becoming successful sellers. This is a proactive, relationship-driven sales coaching role. New Rep Sales Coaches build relationships, create engagement, remove early barriers, reinforce successful sales habits, and create accountability while making sure every new Rep feels supported and set up for success. Coaches are expected to approach their region like a pipeline: prioritizing the right Reps, creating consistent outreach, identifying opportunities to move people forward, overcoming objections, and following through until the next milestone is reached.
What you'll do
- Successfully manage the new Rep population within an assigned region through their first 90 days.
- Manage the region as an active pipeline, understanding where each Rep is in their journey and what action is needed to move them to the next milestone.
- Understand the overall health of the region, including which Reps are progressing, stalled, disengaging, or ready to advance.
- Ensure new Reps receive timely, meaningful outreach and know who their Coach is from the beginning.
- Proactively work with Reps awaiting their first pickup, first sale, fifth sale, or showing signs of stalled activity.
- Use phone, text, and other outreach methods to consistently connect with Reps, including multiple attempts when needed to establish engagement.
- Review Rep accounts before outreach to understand inventory, pickups, Marketplace activity, sales history, previous conversations, and current barriers.
- Conduct intentional coaching conversations focused on discovery: asking the right questions, uncovering barriers, understanding motivation, and determining the best next action.
- Confidently address objections, hesitation, and uncertainty while helping Reps understand the opportunity and what they need to do next.
- Coach Reps on successful habits around listings, pricing, customer communication, pickups, inventory management, and selling.
- Help ready Reps move into their first pickup as quickly as possible and remove unnecessary barriers to getting started.
- Create urgency and momentum when appropriate by giving Reps clear, actionable next steps rather than allowing accounts to remain stalled.
- Set clear next steps and follow-up commitments with Reps and consistently follow through.
- Recognize signs of disengagement or performance concerns early and take action before they become larger issues.
- Prioritize outreach based on Rep stage, engagement, opportunity, and likelihood of progression.
- Partner with other Sharetown teams when operational, compliance, or account issues require additional support while continuing to own the relationship with the Rep.
- Maintain accurate notes and documentation of coaching conversations, commitments, follow-ups, and escalations.
- Prepare successful new Reps for a smooth transition to the Sales team once they reach the appropriate milestones
These responsibilities reflect the actual daily priorities of the role: first calls come first, followed by sales progression, Rep follow-ups, Marketplace activity, getting ready Reps assigned to pickups, and then administrative work.
Qualifications
- Experience in sales development, inside sales, coaching, customer success, account management, or a similar relationship-focused role preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills and confidence connecting with people over the phone.
- Comfortable with proactive outbound outreach and initiating conversations rather than waiting for Reps to ask for help.
- Ability to build relationships quickly and make people feel comfortable asking questions and sharing challenges.
- Strong discovery skills with the ability to ask thoughtful questions, uncover the real barrier, and coach toward a solution.
- Ability to confidently navigate objections, hesitation, and difficult conversations while maintaining a positive relationship.
- Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage a pipeline of Reps at different stages of their journey.
- Comfortable working toward measurable activity, engagement, and conversion goals.
- Comfortable using data, reports, and account activity to prioritize outreach and determine where attention is needed.
- Able to balance encouragement and support with clear expectations, urgency, and accountability.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in an outbound environment where consistent activity and follow-up are critical to success.
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for an issue to be escalated.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
What Success Looks Like
A successful New Rep Sales Coach knows their region and manages it like a healthy sales pipeline. They know who needs attention, who is ready for the next step, and where opportunities are getting stuck. They build strong relationships, consistently create engagement, uncover and overcome barriers, and take ownership of moving Reps forward. Success means turning new Reps into active sellers by creating momentum from the first conversation through the first pickup, first sale, fifth sale, and ultimately a successful transition to the Sales team.
