The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Sales Development Representative to help build and fuel Sharp’s revenue engine. As the first point of contact for prospective customers, you will be responsible for generating qualified pipeline through consistent, targeted outreach across multiple channels. You’ll create strong first impressions, understand the needs of public safety leaders, and connect them to our Account Executives for deeper conversations. This role is fast paced, mission focused, and critical to driving predictable, repeatable growth as we scale across the country.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Generate Pipeline. Build targeted prospect lists, conduct high volume outreach, and create qualified opportunities that support a healthy and predictable top of funnel.
  • Lead the First Interaction. Deliver sharp, informed, and engaging first touches that build trust and clearly articulate Sharp’s value to high demand professions.
  • Book Meetings that Matter. Set discovery calls and demos with the right stakeholders and ensure clean CRM documentation for a seamless handoff to Account Executives.
  • Keep the System Sharp. Maintain exceptional CRM hygiene, track engagement, and ensure territories, accounts, and activities are always accurate and up to date.
  • Bring Insights Back to the Team. Share what you’re hearing from the field including objections, trends, and pain points to help shape messaging, campaigns, and product direction.
  • Improve Every Day. Experiment with scripts, channels, and sequencing, using data to refine your approach and continuously improve performance.
  • Collaborate Across the Revenue Team. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product to align messaging and stay sharp on industry trends, customer needs, and evolving best practices.

The skillset you’ll need to succeed

  • High resilience and comfort navigating frequent rejection in a fast paced outbound environment.
  • Strong curiosity and a willingness to ask thoughtful, probing questions that uncover real needs.
  • Excellent active listening skills paired with clear, confident communication across channels.
  • Effective time management and prioritization, especially when balancing high volume outreach.
  • Empathy combined with solid business acumen to understand prospect challenges and value drivers.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and consistent, accurate data hygiene.
  • Ability to research industries, personas, and organizational structures to tailor outreach and targeting.
