About the role


We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support Shipium’s go-to-market efforts. In this role, you will collaborate cross functionally with marketing, sales, partnerships, customer success, and operations team members to research companies, identify and manage key contacts, develop and execute campaigns, engage with prospects and follow up on inbound leads, raise positive brand awareness, source discovery conversations, and generate new sales opportunities. Must be on site 2-3 days per week in the Chicago office.

What you'll do

  • Research prospect companies, identify key contacts, collect and organize data in company systems.
  • Segment prospect companies and contacts, and participate in the creation of opportunity generation strategies, tactics, tasks, and tailored messaging.
  • Work with marketing and partnership team members to facilitate campaign creation, select companies and contacts to include in go-to-market campaigns, support events (pre, during, and post), and follow up on inbound leads.
  • Work with sales team members on account planning and prospecting. Collaborate to determine appropriate action items.
  • Work with customer success team members to prospect for potential upsell and cross-sell as-needed opportunities with current customers.
  • Work with the operations team to iterate and improve on all SDR processes, taking an owner's mindset and contributing to the maintenance of enablement documentation as processes evolve.
  • Execute a high volume of multi-step prospecting outreach tasks across email, LinkedIn, phone, and in-person mediums. Engage with prospects to raise positive awareness and source conversations, discovery conversations, and qualified pipeline.
  • Create and maintain lists of accounts and contacts in Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Understand the key performance indicators for the SDR role, learn how to report on them, and communicate your progress during weekly meetings with go-to-market team members.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of Shipium’s product offering; clearly and confidently communicate our value proposition (written and verbal)
  • Become an expert at leveraging the tools in our tech stack to facilitate all of the above. This includes, but is not limited to, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach.io, Gong, ZoomInfo, and HubSpot.

  • 1-2 years working in an office environment

The pay range for this role is:

53,000 - 60,000 USD per year (Hybrid (Chicago, Illinois, US))
