About the Role:
Job Title: Subject Matter Expert - Cloud Security
Experience: 10 - 15 years
This role will serve as the strategic and technical subject matter expert driving cybersecurity solutions across connected vehicle programs. This role will be responsible for defining, proposing, and articulating end-to-end cybersecurity solutions to OEMs and partners, supporting business acquisition efforts, and guiding internal teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable products.
The role demands a blend of deep technical knowledge, solution architecture expertise, and customer-facing leadership to represent the company as a trusted cybersecurity partner in the automotive ecosystem.
What you’ll do:
This role will serve as the strategic and technical subject matter expert driving cloud-centric cybersecurity solutions across connected vehicle programs. The focus of this role is to design, articulate, and deliver secure, scalable, and compliant cloud and backend architectures that support vehicle connectivity, OTA updates, data platforms, and software-defined vehicle ecosystems.
The role will be responsible for defining and positioning end-to-end cybersecurity solutions with a strong emphasis on cloud security, data protection, identity management, and secure service architectures, while supporting business acquisition and guiding internal teams in delivering secure, cloud-native products.
This position requires a combination of deep cloud security expertise, solution architecture leadership, and customer-facing influence, positioning the company as a trusted cybersecurity and cloud partner within the automotive ecosystem.
What you’ll do:
1. Customer Engagement & Business Development
- Act as the Cloud Cybersecurity SME in customer engagements, workshops, and RFQ/RFI processes.
- Understand customer requirements across cloud security, data protection, and regulatory frameworks (UNECE R155, ISO/SAE 21434, GDPR, OEM-specific policies).
- Translate requirements into secure cloud architectures and service designs for connected vehicle platforms.
- Develop and present end-to-end cybersecurity solutions with strong emphasis on backend, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines.
- Partner with sales and business teams to shape cloud-security-driven value propositions during acquisition.
- Build credibility by demonstrating real-world implementation experience in securing cloud-native automotive platforms.
2. Solution Definition & Cloud Security Architecture
- Define end-to-end cybersecurity architectures across:
- Embedded systems (TCU/ECU)
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Backend microservices and APIs
- Data ingestion and analytics pipelines
- OTA and remote command systems
- Design and review cloud-native security patterns, including:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Zero Trust architectures
- API security and gateway controls
- Secure multi-tenant architectures
- Data encryption (at rest/in transit) and key management (KMS/HSM)
- Ensure security is embedded across DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
- Validate and guide implementation of:
- Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment (TARA)
- Secure communication protocols
- Cloud intrusion detection & monitoring (SIEM/SOC integrations)
- Incident response and recovery strategies
- Align architecture with cloud security best practices and evolving automotive regulations.
3. Internal Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to build secure-by-design cloud platforms for Sibros products (Deep Updater, Deep Logger, Deep Commander, etc.).
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices, including automated security testing, vulnerability management, and compliance checks.
- Mentor teams on:
- Cloud security architecture
- Secure coding practices
- API and microservices security
- Support teams during:
- Cloud security audits
- Penetration testing
- Compliance assessments
- Ensure consistency in cloud security posture across all programs and deployments.
4. External Representation & Thought Leadership
- Represent the company in forums related to cloud security, automotive cybersecurity, and software-defined vehicles.
- Engage with cloud providers, regulatory bodies, and cybersecurity alliances.
- Contribute to thought leadership on topics like secure OTA, cloud-native vehicle platforms, and data security in mobility ecosystems.
- Publish whitepapers, blogs, and technical content highlighting cloud security innovations in automotive.
5. Governance, Compliance & Cloud Security Assurance
- Drive implementation of UNECE R155, ISO/SAE 21434, and related standards with a strong cloud security integration perspective.
- Support Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) with focus on backend and cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR)
- Cloud security benchmarks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001)
- Establish processes for:
- Secure cloud configuration management
- Continuous compliance monitoring
- Risk and vulnerability management in cloud environments
- Ensure all solutions meet OEM requirements for both vehicle and cloud ecosystems.
What you should know:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security architecture, or distributed systems.
- Strong experience in designing secure cloud-native platforms for connected systems (automotive preferred).
- Deep knowledge of:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- IAM, Zero Trust, API security, container/Kubernetes security
- Encryption, key management, and secrets management
- Familiarity with:
- ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155/R156, ISO 24089
- Cloud security frameworks (NIST, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001)
- Hands-on experience with:
- DevSecOps tooling and secure CI/CD pipelines
- Threat modeling and TARA
- Security monitoring (SIEM/SOC)
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1s on cloud and backend cybersecurity requirements.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure Security Specialty, or Automotive Cybersecurity Professional (ACSP) are highly desirable.
