Role Overview

Job Title: HubSpot Systems Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time W2 Employee

Reports To: VP of Technology

Department Head: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Work From Home or Hybrid Work at Omaha Headquarters

Compensation: $70,000 to 80,000 Base Salary + Incentives Bonus ($12,600 to $14,400)

Your Impact on Team Sidekick

As our HubSpot Systems Specialist, you will be the internal expert managing both the front-end and back-end systems within HubSpot. You’ll maintain and enhance our marketing website hosted on HubSpot CMS, including HubDB, and manage all HubSpot workflows, automation, and reporting. Additionally, you’ll take the lead on creating powerful visual reports through Databox, ensuring our teams have the data-driven insights they need to succeed.

Your role bridges technical expertise and creative problem-solving, directly impacting how we connect with clients, measure success, and drive growth. In this role, you will work on:

HubSpot CMS Management and Development (35%)

  • Maintain and continuously improve Sidekick’s HubSpot-hosted marketing website, ensuring seamless UX, functionality, and performance.
  • Develop and manage dynamic, HubDB-powered content such as landing pages and data-driven franchise listings.
  • Update and customize HubSpot CMS modules using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance site functionality and visual consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing for ongoing content updates and optimizations.

HubSpot CRM & Automation Management (35%)

  • Build, maintain, and optimize HubSpot workflows, automation, lead scoring, and custom reporting to support Marketing and Sales.
  • Ensure data hygiene and system accuracy within HubSpot CRM.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and refine HubSpot processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Databox Reporting & Visualization (20%)

  • Create, maintain, and improve insightful dashboards in Databox to visualize marketing, sales, and operational metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with department leaders to understand data needs and deliver customized visualizations.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data reporting across all dashboards.

Collaboration & Process Improvement (10%)

  • Act as the internal HubSpot advisor, guiding teams on best practices and creative solutions.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for technological enhancements to automate tasks and streamline reporting.

A Day in the Life:

Each day will offer a unique blend of activities. You might start by troubleshooting workflows or updating website content via HubSpot CMS. By midday, you could collaborate with the Marketing and Sales teams to develop or refine automation strategies. Later, you’ll design engaging dashboards in Databox to provide leadership with critical insights.

Throughout, you’ll work cross-functionally, applying your technical know-how to help the team achieve strategic goals. You’ll have autonomy in your role, encouraged to innovate and optimize our systems for efficiency and performance.

This Role Might Be a Good Fit For You If:

  • Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience managing HubSpot (both CMS and CRM), including building websites, automations, workflows, and custom reporting.
  • Are proficient in HubSpot CMS, HubDB, and have previously maintained or developed websites, landing pages, and dynamic content.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and enjoy transforming data into clear, actionable insights using visualization platforms like Databox, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Are comfortable creating and modifying web pages and CMS modules using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Have experience creating and maintaining data dashboards to track and measure performance across sales, marketing, and operational KPIs.
  • Are skilled at optimizing HubSpot CRM data hygiene, automation processes, and reporting accuracy.
  • Enjoy working cross-functionally with teams like Marketing, Sales, and Operations to design reports and dashboards that clearly communicate business insights and trends.
  • Are detail-oriented and organized, capable of balancing multiple priorities and managing independent projects with minimal oversight.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment, helping non-technical stakeholders understand and leverage data-driven decision-making.
  • Constantly seek opportunities for system improvements and innovations to streamline workflow, automate processes, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Have a passion for continuous learning, staying updated on the latest in HubSpot features, data visualization techniques, and marketing technologies.

Working Conditions:

  • Franchise Sidekick utilizes a hybrid work structure with in-office and blended work 
  • Some travel is required (less than 10% annually)
