We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including preparation of financial reports, maintaining general ledger integrity, ensuring compliance with both UK and US accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive mindset.  

This individual contributor position directly reports to the Senior Accounting Manager at the Corporate headquarters based in the United States and dotted-line reports to the Senior Revenue Operations Director in the United Kingdom.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to: 

  • Manage all aspects of accounting functions including, but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, payroll, general ledger, and taxes. 
  • Prepare and submit journal entries to headquarters for review in a timely manner. 
  • Ensure proper accounting for intercompany activities, foreign currency transactions, balances, and revaluations. 
  • Prepare and submit sales representative commissions payout and accruals. 
  • Prepare and submit to headquarters a weekly cash update and cash flow forecast.  
  • Prepare and submit to headquarters a weekly accounts receivable report with an explanation of aged receivables, if any. 
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare flux analyses regularly. 
  • Work closely with the local GM on daily operations including payroll, commissions and cash transactions. 
  • Coordinate with external payroll service providers on payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution and payroll regulatory filings. 
  • Coordinate with external pension administrators on pension schemes. 
  • Manage relationships with external tax service providers to ensure compliance with local tax jurisdiction such as equity-based compensation, sacrifice scheme, quarterly VAT filings and corporate income tax returns. 
  • Manage and responsible for statutory audits. 
  • Support external and internal audits.  
  • Ensure that all internal controls and procedures are being followed, including walkthroughs and process improvement associated with the risk controls self-assessment (RCSA). 
  • Participate in system upgrades or implementation projects (Workday, ADP and UK multi-tax applications in Sage Intacct) 
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis, reports, and special projects as necessary. 
  • Some admin and operational tasks, as required on an ad hoc basis. 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 
  • UK Chartered Accountant or US Certified Public Accountant designation preferred. 
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience in a publicly traded company with multi-national, multi-currency environment. 
  • Experience with systems like Sage Intacct, Sage 50, FloQast and/or NetSuite is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and related tax implications. 
  • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Rippling, or similar. 
  • Prior involvement in payroll and accounting system implementation or process automation. 
  • Experience supporting global audits and SOX compliance.

  • Exceptional judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and opportunities. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with headquarters. 

All Silvaco salary ranges are determined by role, level, and geographic location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training and additional role-related considerations.  

 

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
