JOB SUMMARY
Join our dynamic team at Silvaco's IP Business Unit as a SRAM Architect. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the design and optimization of SRAM memory architectures for various applications. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define memory requirements, develop innovative solutions, and drive the implementation of SRAM designs using industry-standard semiconductor design solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to:
- SRAM Architecture Design: Utilize industry-standard semiconductor design solutions to design and optimize SRAM memory architectures to meet performance, power, and area requirements for specific applications.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate advanced semiconductor process technologies and memory cell designs to identify opportunities for performance enhancement and power reduction.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive performance analysis and modeling of SRAM designs using simulation tools to ensure optimal speed, latency, and bandwidth characteristics.
- Power Optimization: Implement power-saving techniques leveraging power analysis and optimization tools to minimize power consumption in SRAM designs.
- Reliability Enhancement: Develop strategies to enhance the reliability and robustness of SRAM memory cells.
- SRAM Characterization: Conduct thorough characterization of SRAM memory cells to validate their performance and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with system architects, circuit designers, layout engineers, and software developers to define memory requirements and ensure seamless integration of SRAM designs using interoperable design flows.
- Design Verification: Work closely with verification engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and ensure the correctness and functionality of SRAM designs through simulation and emulation using verification platforms.
- Documentation and Communication: Prepare detailed design specifications, technical reports, and presentations using documentation tools to communicate design concepts, methodologies, and results to stakeholders and management.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in SRAM technology, semiconductor process technologies, and memory design methodologies through training resources and community forums.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on semiconductor design and memory systems.
- Extensive experience in SRAM architecture design, optimization, and implementation, preferably using industry-standard semiconductor design solutions.
- Proficiency in SRAM circuit design principles, memory cell characterization, and layout techniques.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor process technologies, device physics, and scaling trends.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard CAD tools for SRAM design, simulation, and verification.
- Experience developing memory compilers is a significant plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design trade-offs and propose innovative solutions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and drive consensus on design decisions.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, TCL) for design automation and data analysis is a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of successful tape-outs and silicon validation of SRAM designs using industry-standard tools is highly desirable.
- Experience in international and remote team building preferred.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-190,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
