JOB SUMMARY
Silvaco is looking for a frontend/full-stack developer to join our R&D team in Porto Alegre, Brazil. You will contribute to our EDA products and services within the IP group, joining a geographically distributed team of highly skilled and experienced engineers. You will be using modern software development tools and methodologies to address architectural and programming challenges, using workflows and tools such as CI/CD, Git and VueJS3/Typescript. This role is responsible for helping to drive product UX and UI requirements, software architecture and testing.
The IP software group develops solutions that enhance productivity for distribution, tracking and discovery of IP subsystems within SOC development flows. The products focus on supporting verification and use compliance of IP subsystems and are used by both internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to:
- Communicate clearly within the team and customers of our products, being able to both share your own expertise and learn from others.
- Work closely with product and design teams to understand and implement UI/UX requirements.
- Define and formulate problems clearly, whether for product features or new products, and design and implement efficient algorithms to solve them.
- Take a leadership role in new features and products, driving planning and testing as well as architecting for reliability and pushing for production releases.
- Specify and implement testing strategies such as unit and system tests to ensure the quality of the products we deliver.
- Support customers of our products thru attention to detail in documentation as well as understanding the various use models of these products.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or comparable education or industrial experience.
- Strong experience with front-end frameworks/libraries, particularly Vue3 or React (preferably Vue3 w/Typescript)
- Advanced capabilities with software development tools, including Git, IDEs, profilers, debuggers, test frameworks, packaging tools.
- Comfortable with full-stack development and able to build minimum viable products quickly.
- Experience with API (REST or Protobuf) design and implementation. Documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience with Linux and bash scripting, system/application configuration and monitoring.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented individual.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in semiconductor industry preferred.
- Experience in international and remote team building preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting.
- Prolonged periods of typing
- Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.
- Ability to lift (up) to 15 pounds at times.
