About the role

As a Senior Project Manager at SGC, you will lead large-scale disaster response, recovery and mitigation programs, leveraging cutting-edge advanced technology solutions and data-driven methodologies to enhance efficiency, compliance, and measurable outcomes. You will oversee specific projects or missions, drive operational excellence, and ensure seamless project execution by integrating real-time analytics and emerging technologies.


This role is designed for a forward-thinking leader with at least 6+ years of FEMA-funded program experience who thrives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Your work will be instrumental in accelerating recovery timelines, optimizing resources, and helping communities build resilience against future disasters.


This is a high-impact, high-visibility role perfect for a strategic doer who wants to grow into a future PMO Director as we scale.


What you'll do

Project Management (70%)

  • Own day-to-day management of active projects: timeline, budget, scope, and quality.
  • Serve as main point of contact with clients—drive satisfaction and results.
  • Track deliverables, lead team huddles, and wrangle tasks using JIRA, MS Project, and our internal PM toolkit.
  • Identify, document, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
  • Lead project reporting, invoicing inputs, and performance tracking.

PMO Foundations (30%)

  • Establish standard operating procedures, templates, and dashboards.
  • Support internal project governance and portfolio reporting.
  • Work with executive leadership to align project delivery with growth strategy.
  • Assist in proposal development, resource planning, and pricing models.
  • Help us build the playbook for scale—your fingerprints will be on everything we grow.


Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive project management experience (government contracting or consulting preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and data-driven.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred (or willing to pursue within 12 months).
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Microsoft Project, and Salesforce a strong plus.
  • Strategic mindset, startup scrappiness, and a sense of humor when things get real.
  • Travel requirements - up to 30%


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $95,000 – $115,000 depending on experience
