About the role

Simeon Global Consulting is seeking a GIS Analyst to support disaster planning, response, and recovery efforts by delivering critical GIS analysis and mapping solutions. This posting is for GIS Analysts at multiple levels—whether you're early in your geospatial career or bring senior-level expertise in GIS and emergency response, we want to hear from you.

This is a temporary position intended to support a specific project assignment, with a strong preference to transition high-performing candidates into full-time roles within our GIS department. We're looking for individuals who not only bring technical skills but also demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and strong alignment with our mission.

This position is remote-first but may require travel for deployments based on operational needs. Deployments can extend for multiple months and involve working long hours in dynamic, fast-paced emergency environments. Candidates should be prepared for the possibility of intensive work periods—typically 12-hour days and extended weekly schedules—when supporting field operations.

The GIS Analyst will conduct spatial data analysis, cartography, and database management using GIS software to enhance operational decision-making. You’ll work closely with a small internal GIS department while interfacing with emergency management teams, senior analysts, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate geospatial data supports fast, effective disaster response and recovery.
