About the Company:

We are a stealth-mode Aerospace & Defense startup headquartered in El Segundo, CA. Our founding team hails from SpaceX, Anduril, and Lockheed Martin, and we are backed by Joint Staff-level military leadership and several  Silicon Valley firms. With a world-class business development & leadership team already in place, we are well positioned to capitalize on already overwhelming demand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and validate high-fidelity models using CFD or relevant simulation tools
  • Translate physical understanding into digital prediction and design optimization
  • Post-process data from simulations and real-world tests to inform future iterations
  • Interface with cross-functional teams (e.g., GNC, structural, thermal, software) to guide engineering design
  • Automate analysis workflows and contribute to internal tooling using Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages
  • Own the lifecycle of your work from concept to final design validation
  • Correlate simulation results to wind tunnel and flight test data
  • Ability to assess aerodynamic impacts on system-level performance including stability, control, and thermal loads

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) in a technical field or related relevant experience
  • Minimum 4 years working in related role.
  • Experience with CFD tools (e.g., STAR-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, NASA solvers)
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB
  • Knowledge of subsonic and transonic aerodynamics, thermodynamics, unsteady flow phenomena, and aero-control coupling
  • Experience analyzing unsteady aerodynamic effects and dynamic response (e.g., control surface deflection, fin-body interaction, fin-fin interaction, vortex effects)
  • Familiarity with structural analysis or materials under extreme environments
  • Experience in developing scalable, automated simulation pipelines

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as mission timelines require
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguity-tolerant environment
  • Passion for hands-on problem-solving and first-principles thinking
