Sketchy is looking for a Mid-Level Software Developer, Frontend with emphasis on mobile development  to join the Engineering team! This role will be instrumental in advancing our product roadmap, partnering with Product Managers and Designers to build and maintain our platform.

Sketchy is hiring remote employees in these select US states: California, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington!

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and grow with fellow Sketchy engineers, product designers and product managers to design, review, and build well-crafted software.
• Work within an agile environment to help launch new functionalities that meet the needs of students and schools.
• Contribute to engineering quality through documentation and following established best practices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems.
• Ability to break down product requirements into manageable tasks for development and implementation.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing hybrid and web-based mobile-first and applications using modern frameworks and technologies
• Working knowledge of Typescript, React Native (or other hybrid mobile frameworks), CSS
• Experience with front end application deployment
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals including Git, CI/CD practices, and RESTful APIs
• Ability to consider non-functional requirements when building features
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable code and following architectural patterns
• Familiarity with basic monitoring and debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools, Data Dog, or similar tools

Salary Range

$130,000 - $140,000
