Position Summary
We are seeking a Contract Product Marketing Manager to play a key role in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, optimizing product positioning, and ensuring our offerings resonate with medical students and clinical learners across channels. This role will bring to life data-driven insights, craft compelling product messaging, and collaborate closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to amplify our brand and deliver effective campaigns that elevate Sketchy in the digital medical education space.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused contract role with real opportunity for impact. You’ll be shaping messaging, building sales tools, supporting events, and helping turn insight into action. For the right candidate, this is a rare opportunity to contribute meaningfully to an AI-enabled medical education future from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research to understand trends, competition, and customer needs across medical education segments (UME, GME, NP, PA) to inform product development and positioning.
- Develop clear and compelling product messaging that differentiates Sketchy in the marketplace, ensuring consistency across all channels and audiences.
- Create and refine customer personas and segments for medical students, residents, NP students, and PA students to better reach and engage target audiences.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for product launches and program initiatives, identifying key segments and crafting effective launch plans across UME/GME/NP/PA.
- Collaborate with product, content, sales, and growth teams to ensure alignment on product features, messaging, and marketing campaigns.
- Create and update key enablement assets including sales decks, one-pagers, competitive positioning, and messaging frameworks.
- Support digital marketing campaigns, continuously optimizing to meet performance metrics and ensure efficient budget allocation.
- Regularly communicate updates on product marketing activities, outcomes, and insights with internal stakeholders.
- Foster a data-driven culture by encouraging data-backed decisions throughout the company.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in tech and/or direct-to-consumer digital environments.
- Required: Experience in the medical education industry, with demonstrated work supporting go-to-market strategy and positioning for audiences such as UME, NP, and PA learners.
- Proven ability to build and execute go-to-market strategies across programs, working alongside sales, product, and growth teams.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data sets.
- Proficiency with tools like Looker, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work independently.
- A self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Experience working at a high-growth startup is a plus.
