Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Clinical Education Lead to drive the creation, quality, and impact of Sketchy’s clinical content. This role serves as a key bridge between content execution and strategic oversight, supporting both the high-level vision and the day-to-day development of engaging, high-quality educational materials. Ideal candidates will have deep experience in clinical education, a passion for innovative learning methods, and the ability to manage teams and cultivate meaningful institutional partnerships.

As a Clinical Education Lead, you will take ownership of case development, support content strategy across platforms, liaise with academic and institutional partners, and lead collaborative cross-functional initiatives that support Sketchy's mission of transforming medical education through storytelling and visual learning.


Sketchy is hiring remote employees in these select US states: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington!


Responsibilities:

Internal Clinical Leadership

  • Serve as Sketchy’s internal clinical expert and authoritative “source of truth” for clinical accuracy, relevance, and pedagogy.
  • Ensure consistency of clinical voice, rigor, and adherence to evidence-based standards across all educational materials.
  • Advise product, content, marketing, and leadership teams on clinical matters, guiding decision-making with clarity and expertise.
  • Offer real-time clinical consultation to cross-functional teams developing new features or educational experiences.

Content Creation and Strategy

  • Lead the end-to-end creation, review, and refinement of clinical patient cases across multiple disciplines.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure content quality, accuracy, and learner alignment.
  • Use data insights, learner feedback, and trends in medical education to enhance content efficacy and engagement.
  • Integrate generative AI tools and visual methodologies into content production workflows.

Strategic Implementation

  • Execute and refine content strategies aligned with Sketchy’s business goals and clinical curriculum.
  • Act as a cross-functional bridge between content, product, and marketing teams to deliver cohesive learning experiences.
  • Identify and initiate new content opportunities based on market and learner needs.

Institutional Relationships

  • Serve as a key contact for institutional partners, academic stakeholders, and external educators.
  • Represent Sketchy at conferences, webinars, and meetings with potential academic collaborators.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives by identifying partnership opportunities in medical education.

Team Leadership 

  • Mentor and guide a team of clinicians, writers, and freelance contributors through the content development lifecycle.
  • Promote a collaborative team culture that fosters innovation and high performance.
  • Ensure content milestones are met on time and at the highest standard of quality

What We’re Looking For:

Experience & Education

  • MD/DO or equivalent degree
  • Clinical practice experience as a senior resident or beyond
  • 5+ years experience in educational or creative fields
  • 2+ years experience using large language models

Skills

  • Content team management or educator mentoring
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and learning strategies
  • Experience with generative AI and enthusiasm to integrate emerging tech into education
  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
  • Passion for making medical education accessible, engaging, and unforgettable

Salary Range

$150,000-$175,000
