Skift - Executive Search is a leading global executive search firm specializing in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. The business unit was created in 2024 to service Skifts’ client base in sourcing VP level and above candidates for their upcoming vacancies. 

The Opportunity 

The Skift Executive Search team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Consultant to join our team. The Research Consultant will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and assessing top-tier talent for executive-level positions across the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with industry leaders and contribute to the success of renowned organizations worldwide.

Some of What You'll Do

Market Research: Conduct comprehensive research to identify key players, emerging trends, and talent pools within the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries.

Candidate Identification: Utilize various sourcing techniques, including database mining, networking, and direct outreach, to identify and engage top-tier candidates for executive-level positions.

Candidate Assessment: Evaluate candidate qualifications, skills, and fit for specific roles through resume screening, competency-based interviews, and reference checks.

Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business objectives, culture, and talent requirements, providing strategic insights and recommendations throughout the search process.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, clients, and industry stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and ambassador for Skift - Exec Search.

Project Management: Manage multiple search projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results and exceptional client satisfaction.

Market Insights: Stay abreast of industry developments, competitive landscapes, and talent market dynamics, providing valuable insights and thought leadership to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance search processes, methodologies, and tools, driving efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation within the organization.

Stakeholder management (internal): work cross functionally within Skifts’ eco-system of brands, helping identify opportunities to collaborate and drive initiatives. 

The Experience You Bring 

  • Minimum of 4 years in a recruitment role (executive search preferred) 

  • Proven track record of success in identifying and attracting top-tier talent for executive-level positions, preferably on a global scale

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Demonstrated project management expertise, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Proficiency in utilizing recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems, and online databases to support search activities

  • Proven experience as a research consultant or similar role

  • Passion for travel, tourism, and hospitality, with a genuine interest in contributing to the success and growth of industry-leading organizations.
