We’re looking for a part-time Technical Product Marketing Writer to lead our documentation efforts and contribute to product enablement content. You’ll be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content that supports onboarding, adoption, and customer success. This is a temporary 6-month contract with the option to extend based on need and performance.

• Part/Time up to 18 hours/week 
• $40/hour. Skillable is a distributed first team with employees working across the U.S., and we do not consider geography when determining compensation ranges.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain product documentation (how-to guides, feature overviews, onboarding content) 
• Draft content for product releases: changelogs, release notes, feature documentation 
• Build content for a self-service onboarding program 
• Create internal enablement assets for sales and customer-facing teams 
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Marketing to translate technical inputs into clear messaging 
• Administer and improve our Document360 site (publishing, categorizing, optimizing structure) 
• Contribute to scalable documentation processes, including templates and style guides 

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical writing or product marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or developer tools 
• Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail 
• Experience with Document360 
• Ability to work independently and manage content workflows 
• Bonus: familiarity with lab platforms, developer learning tools, or edtech products 

Working Conditions:  

The job conditions for this position are in a remote home office setting, requiring a space that supports privacy and focus to attend to regular and frequent video and voice calls. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Periodic travel may be required equaling up to approximately 10% of the time.
