- High-velocity ownership. Small, fast-moving team where you’ll wear many hats, ship frequently, and own projects end-to-end.
- Talent density & culture. Collaborate with exceptional colleagues in a low-ego, supportive environment that values autonomy, growth, and thoughtful work.
About the role
As our Life Sciences Product Manager, you’ll sit at the intersection of customer success and product, embedding with top-pharma teams to uncover workflow pain points and translate them into scalable solutions. Expect a forward-deployed mindset: some days you’ll prototype bespoke analyses alongside engineers, other days you’ll map those learnings back into the core platform so every user benefits. You’ll own discovery calls, shadow live projects, and pressure-test Sleuth in real-world scenarios - pinpointing where our product shines and where it needs to level up. Your insights will drive our roadmap and ensure we’re shipping features rooted in verifiable demand, not hunches.
You’ll become the resident power-user: stress-testing prompts, benchmarking models, and spotting bugs before customers ever notice. Armed with life-science fluency and client-facing polish, you’ll move seamlessly from deep analytical dives to pragmatic execution—drafting specs in the morning, demoing a working solution by afternoon. We’re looking for someone who relishes ambiguity, iterates rapidly, and finds a way to “make it work” no matter the constraint. If you thrive on turning frontline insights into product reality and want to help reshape how biopharma makes decisions, we’d love to meet you.
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end solutions. Map data sources, UX flows, and service touch-points; turn rapid prototypes into repeatable, scalable product features.
- Embed with customers. Run discovery sessions, shadow workflows, and identify gaps - then translate pain points into clear product requirements.
- Prototype & iterate fast. Build quick demos, refine prompts, benchmark models, and A/B test approaches to maximize insight quality and speed.
- Own customer-success experiments. Launch and measure onboarding, upsell, and workflow pilots; track usage data and convert learnings into roadmap priorities.
- Drive cross-functional execution. Package findings into crisp specs, partner with engineering and design to ship, and evangelize best practices across the team.
What we’re looking for
- High-growth, domain-specific pedigree: 2–4+ years in life-sciences strategy or finance - e.g., MBB consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, or pharma BD/S&E - paired with fluency in clinical data, competitive-intelligence tools (Telus, AlphaSense, Evaluate, etc.), and hands-on familiarity with BD and search-and-evaluation workflows.
- Builder’s toolkit: proven ability to turn fuzzy customer problems into shipped products: adept at workflow mapping, wireframing, prompt engineering, and rapid prototyping with engineers.
- AI-native operator: early, heavy user of LLMs and other AI tools to accelerate analysis, content creation, and automation.
- Startup DNA: energized by zero-to-one chaos, happy to wear multiple hats, flex hours beyond 9-to-5, and jump on a plane (≈10–20% travel) when customer impact calls.
- Extra credit: MD, PhD, or hands-on drug-development experience; familiarity with clinical data, regulatory workflows, or biopharma knowledge graphs.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation and meaningful equity, full healthcare benefits with generous employer contribution, and flexible hybrid/remote work setup.
- Hands-on experience at the frontier of AI, building agentic systems that don’t just support but transform how insights are generated and applied.
- An opportunity to directly partner with leading biopharma companies and see your work shape how this industry makes billion-dollar decisions using our software.
The pay range for this role is:
170,000 - 208,000 USD per year (Hybrid (Los Angeles, California, US))
