About us
Sleuth is building a modern, agentic, and intelligent decision-making platform for the biopharma and life sciences industry. We’re using AI to automate workflows and deliver crucial insights and bespoke reports that answer our users’ critical questions about their investments.
You should join us, because:
- Traction. Multiple top-25 pharma customers signed; we compress enterprise deal cycles from months to weeks and are already generating meaningful, early-stage revenue.
- Frontier technology. Work on cutting-edge AI, knowledge-graph, and agentic systems that tackle high-impact problems for companies shaping global health.
- Well-capitalized. Backed by premier investors and fully funded to scale aggressively over the next several years.
- High-velocity ownership. Small, fast-moving team where you’ll wear many hats, ship frequently, and own projects end-to-end.
- Talent density & culture. Collaborate with exceptional colleagues in a low-ego, supportive environment that values autonomy, growth, and thoughtful work.
About the role
As Sleuth’s first Product Designer, you’ll own the end-to-end user experience across every surface where customers touch our platform - web app, Slack/Teams extensions, concierge workflows, and API-driven integrations. You’ll craft intuitive interfaces that make complex AI outputs feel simple and actionable, balancing beauty with clarity for scientists, analysts, and BD executives alike. In close partnership with product and engineering, you’ll translate abstract use-cases into wireframes, high-fidelity mocks, and polished, production-ready React prototypes. Your work will set the visual and interaction standards that every future Sleuth module, micro-app, and data visualization must meet. Ultimately, you’ll ensure that whether a user logs in, receives a Slack alert, or calls the API, it all feels like one cohesive, elegant system.
You’ll thrive here if you can zoom from 30,000-foot system thinking—mapping how a new knowledge-graph widget fits into multichannel workflows—down to 3-pixel kerning adjustments without missing a beat. Because we’re still early, you’ll ship quickly, test designs with real users, and iterate based on hard data, not hunches. You’ll also be the bridge between design and code: writing lightweight React proofs-of-concept, maintaining the design system, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers to get details right. If you’re excited to define the design language for a frontier AI product in biopharma, this is your canvas.
What you'll do
- Own the design system. Establish reusable components, typography, and visual principles that scale across web, chat surfaces, and API docs
- Design & prototype features. Translate product specs into journey maps, wireframes, Figma mocks, and React prototypes—iterating rapidly with user feedback.
- Bridge design and engineering. Pair with engineers to validate feasibility, deliver production-ready assets, and QA the final implementation pixel-for-pixel.
- Unify multichannel UX. Ensure Slack alerts, email digests, concierge dashboards, and API responses share a coherent visual and interaction grammar.
- Advocate for users. Run usability tests, analyze usage data, and champion improvements that reduce cognitive load and accelerate insight discovery.
What we’re looking for
- 3–6 years designing complex B2B or data-heavy products, with a portfolio showing crisp UI, clear UX flows, and measurable user-impact.
- Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) and comfort building interactive React prototypes; HTML/CSS/JS fluency is a plus.
- Systems thinker who can model multi-surface workflows (web, chat, API) and still sweat micro-interactions and visual polish.
- Experience collaborating tightly with engineers -speaking their language, scoping edge cases, and upholding quality through launch.
- Bias for action: you ship, test, learn, and iterate fast in ambiguous, resource-constrained startup environments.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation and meaningful equity, full healthcare benefits with generous employer contribution, and flexible hybrid/remote work setup.
- Hands-on experience at the frontier of AI, building agentic systems that don’t just support but transform how insights are generated and applied.
- An opportunity to directly partner with leading biopharma companies and see your work shape how this industry makes billion-dollar decisions using our software.
The pay range for this role is:
