About the Role
We’re looking for a Strategic Account Executive to lead enterprise sales efforts focused on organizations with complex Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) needs.
In this role, you’ll own the full sales lifecycle for large, strategic accounts—partnering with security, risk, compliance, legal, and IT stakeholders to help them modernize and operationalize their GRC programs on SmartSuite. You’ll bring deep domain expertise in GRC, strong enterprise sales execution, and a consultative approach to helping customers solve high-impact, cross-functional problems.
This is a senior, customer-facing role with significant ownership and influence. You’ll work closely with Solutions Engineering, Product, and Leadership to close complex deals, shape strategic accounts, and bring real-world GRC insights back into the business.
How You’ll Spend Your Time
- Own / Drive the full enterprise sales cycle for strategic GRC-focused accounts, from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and close
- Develop / Execute strategic account and territory plans focused on large, complex organizations with mature or evolving GRC programs
- Lead / Consult customers through deep discovery conversations across risk, compliance, audit, security, and IT stakeholders
- Partner / Collaborate with Solutions Engineers to deliver tailored demos and solutions aligned to customer GRC use cases
- Build / Expand multi-threaded relationships within target accounts, engaging executive, technical, and business leaders
- Advocate / Represent customer needs internally by sharing feedback, use cases, and market insights with Product and Leadership
- Forecast / Manage pipeline, deal strategy, and account progress using CRM and sales enablement tools
What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in GRC-focused roles, enterprise SaaS sales, or a combination of both (GRC domain expertise is required)
- Proven experience selling complex B2B software solutions to large enterprises with multi-stakeholder buying committees
- Deep understanding of GRC concepts such as risk management, compliance frameworks, audits, controls, and regulatory requirements
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate customer challenges into platform-based solutions
- Experience running long, complex sales cycles that involve security, legal, compliance, and executive stakeholders
- Comfort working with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) and modern sales tooling
- Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills
- A self-directed, ownership-oriented mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing SaaS environment

- Set a high standard for enterprise sales execution, including account planning, multi-threading, and value-based selling
- Help establish repeatable best practices for winning and expanding strategic GRC accounts at SmartSuite
