Marketing and Sales Operations

About Smartwyre

Founded in 2018, Smartwyre is a venture-financed SaaS business delivering enterprise software to large agricultural businesses, operating in a $400 billion global industry. With an estimated 5 million farmers and over 5,000 distributors globally, Smartwyre works across the agricultural supply chain, from large corporations to local farms. Presently, we work from the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and South America.

We are building a B2B SaaS platform to network together the commercial operations of the companies that supply the world’s farmers with seeds, fertilizer, chemicals, and services, with their target markets being the United States, Europe, and Latin America. We aim to first offer SaaS applications to solve key commercial pain points (pricing, costing, quoting), then network these companies using a common data platform (transactional data exchange, product information publication, people networking, and user analytics), and finally empower the network to facilitate new business model amongst network participants.

About the role

We are seeking a Marketing & Sales Operations Manager (Program Manager) to serve as a force multiplier across our commercial organization. This role is responsible for growing, optimizing, and ensuring full adoption of our marketing and sales technology stack—including Microsoft Dynamics and Demandbase—while designing and managing processes that align marketing and sales teams to achieve ambitious revenue goals. This is an individual contributor (non-people manager) role focused on program and process leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in marketing and sales operations, deep knowledge of ABM, and a proven ability to proactively partner with sales to drive measurable impact. You will be instrumental in enabling Smartwyre’s go-to-market teams to execute with precision, efficiency, and data-driven rigor.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.  Please note that the company is unable to employ applicants from any of the following states: California, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New York. New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington and Maryland.

What you'll do

  • Own and optimize the marketing and sales technology stack (Microsoft Dynamics, Demandbase, and related tools), driving adoption, integration, and ROI across the organization.
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable processes and workflows for both marketing and sales operations, supporting ABM strategies, demand generation, lead management, and pipeline acceleration.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to ensure alignment between marketing programs and sales goals, enabling seamless lead handoff, opportunity management, and closed-loop reporting.
  • Drive the execution and measurement of ABM campaigns, leveraging segmentation, personalization, and intent data to target high-value accounts and support sales engagement.
  • Maintain data quality, governance, and integration across marketing and sales platforms to ensure accurate reporting, pipeline visibility, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to track campaign performance, sales pipeline health, and ROI, providing clear visibility to commercial leadership.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements, automation, and new technology to increase productivity and reduce friction for both marketing and sales teams.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and internal consultant for marketing and sales operations, providing training and support to maximize tool utilization and process adoption.
  • Support sales enablement initiatives by ensuring sellers have access to the right data, insights, and tools to drive retailer engagement, pricing consistency, and incentive program execution.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing operations, sales operations, or revenue operations roles in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies, tools, and measurement.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and sales operations to drive shared outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experience managing and optimizing marketing automation, CRM, and sales analytics platforms.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, ownership mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Dynamics and Demandbase is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the agriculture, supply chain, or manufacturing technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with additional marketing and sales technology platforms (e.g., marketing automation, data enrichment, web analytics, sales enablement).
  • Prior experience in a high-growth, fast-paced SaaS company.

What Success Looks Like

  • Marketing and sales teams are empowered by streamlined processes, actionable data, and fully leveraged technology, resulting in improved pipeline velocity, sales effectiveness, and revenue growth.
  • Full adoption and utilization of key marketing and sales technologies drive measurable impact on ABM, demand generation, and sales execution.
  • Operations is recognized as a strategic enabler and force multiplier—removing friction, driving efficiency, and unlocking new opportunities for growth.
