Our working model
At Smokeball, we believe there is nothing more powerful than a community of people coming together to work on a product that they, and our clients, love. When it comes to working as a community, we see the value in both coming together and allowing our “Smokeballers” the flexibility that remote work offers.
All Chicago employees are in the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays. While our office is open 5 days a week, we allow you to choose what works best for you on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
Our office is in the heart of the Loop within 10 minutes of the Metra and all “EL” trains. And, we have lots (and lots) of snacks.
The Role
We are seeking a Salesforce guru that is passionate about streamlining business processes. You will work on the Salesforce system and work closely with internal stakeholders to drive process and system changes. If you consider yourself to be self-motivated, detail-oriented and great at solving ambiguous problems, we want to hear from you.
This role is based out of our office in Chicago, IL.
A Typical Day Involves
- Customization and testing of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, approval processes and workflow and validation rules to serve company needs.
- Designing reports and dashboards to visualize key business metrics.
- Troubleshooting production issues in a timely manner and providing internal support.
- Managing integrated business applications to ensure optimal functionality.Enforcing data governance with roles, profiles, sharing rules, permission sets and groups.
- Maintaining database integrity and accuracy via constant auditing, analysis and maintenance.
- Creating and maintaining documentation on processes, policies, and help-related materials for all users; providing internal training and ensuring workflows are being followed.
- Proactively gathering user enhancement requests and coordinating weekly, monthly, and quarterly system enhancements.
What You Bring
- 3+ years as a Salesforce Administrator
- Salesforce Certified Administrator or Developer required; Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist a plus.
- Experience with programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, HTML and Apex.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough needs analysis and implement solutions to drive business outcomes.
- Excellent data management capabilities. Experience with Salesforce Data Loader required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a willingness and patience to coach end users and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to critically review feature requests and make alternate proposals as warranted.
- Effective at managing and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Noel Peel: Hello, I'm Noel and I have been at Smokeball since 2015. I'm purposely not providing a title because that's not important to me, I care about how you work and getting the work done. Outside of work I like to watch my favorite Rugby League team, and look for a real Australian meal here in the US. Been losing that battle but the hope rides on!

The pay range for this role is:
$100,000 - 120,000 base salary
