Purpose 

The Inventory Analyst oversees and provides direction for the movement of inventory. This position maintains, validates, and recommends policies, procedures, controls and systems that prevent, detect and correct errors in inventory movement and data integrity. As a highly integrated and cross-functional role that supports multiple departments, systems, and data, this position is a key support for the functional areas of our distribution business: Sales, Brand, Accounting, and Warehouse, along with support our Takibi Restaurant and Campfield businesses. Responsibilities include managing the integrity of the inventory data within the company’s various inventory management systems, overseeing the inventory-allocations process, and overseeing replenishment fulfillment for all direct-to-customer channels. Leading yearly sales forecast in Gear and Apparel Categories for Wholesale and DTC Channels. Provide accurate and meaningful analysis and reporting to channel managers.  To be successful in this role, the Inventory Analyst will need to be a trusted resource for recommendations for the Operations & Logistics Manager through the tracking, analysis, summary and reporting of data.

Essential Duties  

  • Maintain Inventory System & Data Integrity 
  • Manage inventory and product data within systems & databases 
  • Serve as the primary point-person for inventory related data entry 
  • Create, process, and receive 3rd party purchase order data for all sales channels; maintain purchase order records 
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and related issues, both physical and data related  
  • Maintain tracking and record keeping of inventory movements in all inventory management systems 
  • End of Month Accounting Support – Dropship, CF, Ecom Returns/exchanges  
  • Facilitate monthly cycle counts in all fulfillment locations; track and report cycle count discrepancies and accuracy overtime, provide root-problem analysis of discrepancies 
  • Fully manage retail store inventory counts process (PDX, NYC, LBCF) 
  • Create and maintain accurate inventory data in Shopify of 3rd-Party items for direct sales channels 
  • Create all product data within the ERP, PIM & Inventory Management systems, aligned with existing inventory reporting systems 

 

  • Oversee Product Movement & Allocations 
  • Manage continuous allocations process for the gear and apparel business, including Direct to Consumer order creation, editing, processing, workbook creation and meeting facilitation. 
  • Manage the Execution of tactical decision-making of how to allocate limited-stock across the various sales sectors in the best interest of the business. 
  • Manage Expense product request process; maintain invoice records.  
  • Oversee and manage issues/exceptions that arise around any DTC orders, including retail, web, and omni orders. This includes problem solving fulfillment for all fulfillment locations/parties. 
  • Review Omni-Channel orders; execute fulfillment direction of split-orders 
  • Support Sales Channels & Other Cross-Functional Teams (Reporting & Analysis) 
  • Serve as the primary point-person for order fulfillment support for all sales channels 
  • Coordinate shipment replenishment and resolve issues for direct sales channels. 
  • Serve as the liaison of inventory information to Sales, Brand, & Warehouse Teams 
  • Gather, organize, and interpret statistical data from the database to provide reports and answer questions from upper management. 
  • Create monthly reports for MBR as needed.  
  • Forecasting  
  • Develop yearly gear sale forecasts for DTC and Campfield Retail, incorporating historical data and market trends. Adjust these forecasts as needed to reflect changes in sales patterns and business objectives. 
  • Conduct quarterly gear sales re-forecasts to adapt to market changes and internal demand shifts. Ensure these re-forecasts are communicated to relevant departments for alignment. 
  • Create bi-yearly (fall and summer) apparel forecasts, considering seasonal trends and past performance. Work with the sales and marketing teams to align these forecasts with upcoming campaigns. 
  • Generate new product sales forecasts to support upcoming product launches and inventory planning. Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to ensure accurate forecasting. 
  • Create and maintain placeholder orders to ensure inventory readiness for new and existing products. Regularly review and update these orders to reflect current inventory needs.  
  • Support Departmental Objectives   
  • Serve as a support to operational components of the Inventory & Demand Planning process as needed 
  • Maintain monthly reports that track key departmental initiatives or performance  
  • Participate in communication and relationship building with international branches and other departments 
  • Support Organizational Systems and Processes 
  • Train new and existing employees on systems, processes, and order fulfillment flow patterns as needed 
  • Develop and maintain documentation and standards 
  • Participate in team meetings; provide knowledge, support, and advice for interdepartmental process improvements, projects, or policy revisions 
  • Support change management processes within the department  

Requirements 

  • Education/Certifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent related work 
  • Experience 
  • +4 years of experience in supply chain or logistics 
  • Skills 
  • Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Sage) 
  • Proficient understanding of the financial and business acumen to drive profitability 
  • Proficient understanding of logical system interdependency 
  • Advanced understanding of excel and analytical reporting 
  • Advanced expertise in maintaining data integrity
