Accountant

Description


The Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of Socket Telecom's financial operations. This position will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, labor capitalization, payroll journal entries, processing credit cards and expense reports, and preparing the daily cash report. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Bank Reconciliations: Prepare and analyze monthly bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts.
  • Labor Capitalization: Capitalize eligible labor costs associated with network construction projects.
  • Payroll Journal Entries: Prepare and post payroll journal entries.
  • Credit Card and Expense Report Processing: Review and process credit card transactions and expense reports.
  • Daily Cash Report: Prepare and analyze the daily cash report.
  • Loan Account Monitoring: Monitor loan accounts to ensure timely payments and compliance with loan terms.
  • Monthly Journal Entries: Prepare and post various monthly journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and depreciation.
  • Perform other accounting tasks as assigned, including assisting with audits and financial reporting.


Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


· Two years of accounting experience or an associate's degree in accounting or a related field.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

· Proficiency in QuickBooks is a plus.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.
