Purchasing Agent

Socket is looking for an organized and talented Purchasing Agent to join our growing team! This role will coordinate with different departments to source, price, and order the materials needed for the smooth delivery of Socket's fiber network.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive purchase requests from all departments
  • Source vendors and collect various pricing based off of need/timeline
  • Ability to analyze and present the best purchase choice
  • Once approved, create the purchase order and send it to the vendor
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery
  • Communicate with vendors when delays arise
  • Use tools to keep track of all inventory and assist in proper ordering
  • Some lifting may be required

Desirable Skills:

  • Degree in related field and/or two years’ experience
  • Construction related experience

  • Familiarity with creating purchase orders
