Summary of Job (brief description)
Soleno Therapeutics is seeking a highly strategic and field-connected Associate Director of Regional Marketing to support national stakeholder engagement, key opinion leader (KOL) development, and market development initiatives for VYKAT XR. This role partners closely with Marketing, Sales, Advocacy, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams to operationalize high-impact programs and tactics that drive HCP engagement, elevate speaker excellence, and remove barriers to patient access.
Responsibilities:
KOL Development & Engagement
- Support identification, profiling, and development of emerging and established KOLs.
- Coordinate ongoing KOL engagement plans in partnership with Director of Stakeholder Engagement, Sales, Medical, and agency partners.
- Track and support movement of KOL progression as appropriate from awareness > belief > advocate > champion.
- Coordinate cross-functional insights inputs from Sales, Patient and Community Educators (PACE), Medical, Advocacy, and Residential Program Directors.
- Help convert insights into actionable tools and tactics for the field.
Insights Generation
- Support planning and execution of national and regional advisory boards (HCP, caregiver, residential providers).
- Capture insights and partner with Marketing to develop into multichannel assets (e.g., leave-behinds, speaker materials, educational decks, digital content, FAQs, etc.).
- Ensure stakeholders/participants are kept informed as to the impact of their feedback—seeing the tangible outcomes of their input in future materials and initiatives or understanding why it may not have been incorporated.
- Support planning, content development, logistics, and follow-through for HCP steering committee.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies, optimized tools, educational priorities, and high-impact tactical initiatives.
- Develop and maintain insight repository and insight-to-action tracker in collaboration with project management team ensuring recommendations are operationalized.
Speaker Bureau Excellence
- Stakeholder engagement and field marketing are responsible for overseeing the speaker nomination process in partnership with Marketing, Sales, and Medical.
- Coordinate onboarding, training content, and speaker excellence initiatives (e.g., feedback sessions, 1:1 speaker trainings, etc.).
- Track speaker performance and identify development opportunities.
- Support the creation of speaker training materials and best practices.
HCP Experiential and Educational Content
- Partner with Director of Commercial & Stakeholder Engagement, HCP Marketing, and Regulatory/Compliance on development of HCP experience testimony (i.e., video, print, digital/social) featuring thought leaders and clinical best practices.
- Support identification of appropriate faculty and alignment to core message architecture.
- Help with the creation of a repeatable framework where each KOL interaction yields reusable content across channels and audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, communications or business (advanced degree preferred) with at least 7 years of experience in clinical, marketing, field marketing, or thought leader liaison work in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry—ideally within rare disease.
- Strong scientific literacy with ability to understand and articulate the VYKAT XR prescribing information to engage in confident discussions with HCPs.
- Excellent analytical, relationship development, and diplomacy skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills; ability to distill complex scientific information into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker, proactive self-starter, comfortable operating in fast-paced and evolving environments.
- High integrity, ethical judgment, and capacity to manage confidential information.
- Experience working with KOLs, speaker bureaus, and advisory boards.
- Strong ability to translate insights into actionable field tools.
- Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives.
- Exceptional organization, follow-through, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfort operating in both strategic and tactical environments.
- Endocrinology experience preferred.
- Highly developed sense of humor, sense of focused (vs. frantic) urgency, and a strong reputation for consistently “making good things happen” via data, perseverance, and creativity.
- Travel Requirements – 50- 60% of the time
Salary Range: $195,000 - $225,000
