Summary of Job (brief description)


The Director, Patient Access & Trade Analytics and Operations at Soleno requires a dedicated, analytical, and team-oriented professional to manage analytics programs and initiatives for optimizing market access, pricing, and reimbursement for DCCR. This position requires in-depth analysis of market conditions, payer dynamics, and trade channel efficiencies to guide strategic decisions, shape policy, and propel appropriate patient access. This role will be hands-on in developing, implementing, and managing data-driven market access and patient services performance assessment and gathering insights to inform payer strategy, reimbursement and Trade channel management, and related deployment and execution. The role will build highly collaborative working relationships with the broader Commercial Analytics and Operations team and cross-functional stakeholders across the Sales, Marketing, and Access teams. Externally, the role will work with various data, analytics, and operations partners and agencies to successfully lead the brand performance review and Market Access plan execution. This role reports directly to the VP of Commercial Analytics and Operations.


Responsibilities

  • Complete understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, application, and hands-on working knowledge of marketing analytics, sales analytics, decision science, and quantitative market research.
  • Direct and implement payer market research for qualitative exploration and quantitative assessment of markets, products, and companies across multiple customers (patients, payers, and physicians as needed).
  • Offer objective quantitative analyses of Vykat XR performance marketing campaigns and lead the development of business cases to identify key opportunities and address critical business issues for the brand.
  • Analyze and monitor the performance of key brands/competition through management and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate results and recommendations to the brand teams.
    • Patient Services: Analyze data provided by the program vendor to better understand the patient journey and identify any breakpoints. Lead impact assessments on bridge, CoPay, and PAP programs; synthesize findings; and collaborate with patient services on program recommendations to ensure appropriate patient support. Utilize data to identify potential opportunities for the operations of patient services vendors. Recommend solutions to compliantly support patients and the company’s patient access objectives.
    • Reimbursement Analysis: Lead the analysis of reimbursement trends, CoPay, payer policies, and healthcare reforms to anticipate impacts on product lines. Provide insights to ensure pricing strategies align with market opportunities and payer expectations. This will include Channel performance analysis – e.g., state price reporting, Medicare and Medicaid reporting, approval, denials, and abandonment analysis. 
    • Market Access Ops and Planning: Work with the State Price Transparency Reporting (SPTR) vendor to manage annual submissions and tracking for Soleno’s products. Ensure awareness with Soleno stakeholders regarding trends & developments as it relates to price reporting deadlines and policies. 
    • Trade Analytics: Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of trade, distribution, and sales data to optimize channel strategies, manage product lifecycle, and enhance market penetration. 
    • Insights and Forecasting: Utilize data analytics tools to forecast market scenarios, assess potential policy changes, and evaluate trade-offs in pricing, access, and reimbursement strategies. 
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, medical affairs) and support our field roles in engagements with external stakeholders (e.g., payers, policymakers, KOLs) to align strategies and advocate for favorable drug policies. Describe the experience and attributes of the ideal candidate.
    • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all strategies and operations comply with legal, ethical, and company standards, navigating complex regulatory environments.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree required. Master's degree in business, marketing, or social sciences preferred. 
  • 10+ years’ related experience in marketing sciences, market research and/or management consulting.
  • 8+ years’ experience in the bio/pharmaceutical or related field with direct responsibilities using research and analytics to influence the decision process of brand and commercial leadership strategy in support of marketed products; launch experience is a plus. 
  • Deep expertise in generating commercial insights from large transactional data sets, including medical claims, hub, and specialty pharmacy data. 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action; excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks. 
  • Demonstrates strategic enterprise thinking to find innovative ways to serve patients, and the business.
  • Focuses on the few critical priorities and delivers superior results. 
  • Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders. An ability to influence for greater outcomes. 
  • Excellent communication skills including written and in-person presentation skills, persuasively and appropriately. 
  • Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
  • Travel – less than 20%.



Salary Range: $225,000 - $265,000

(Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the location where this position may be filled.)
