ABOUT THE ROLE

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the overall quality and compliance of our inventory and services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes, conducting audits, and monitoring performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing quality systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and develop action plans to address any identified issues.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and areas of concern and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality control records.
  • Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and non-conformances, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with warehouse employees who have inquiries and require directions.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Consistently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina. 
  • Work is in a warehouse environment with concrete floors that has exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to sounds and respond to moving vehicles.

 

CANDIDATE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related discipline.  or an equivalent combination of education and experience clearly indicated on resume.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance or a related role, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or similar standards.
  • Experience conducting audits and inspections and implementing corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards applicable to the industry.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean, is desirable.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to customers, suppliers, vendors, management, employees.
  • WMS/ ERP experience and learning all SAP in warehouse.
