Brain Health Provider (NP/PA)

About the Company

Primary Brain Health is building a new way for people to understand, navigate, and act on their brain health. We're an early-stage company at the intersection of healthcare, technology, advances in neurological diagnostics and treatment, and care navigation.

We believe the time between a worry and an answer should be care, not a queue. Today, that time is spent waiting for a specialist, because all the work is bundled into one expert visit. We’re building a new model of care for that time, and a new vocabulary for a middle layer of medicine that has never had one.

We are looking for a Brain Health Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) who loves combining clinical expertise with a whole-person approach to care. You'll be the clinical anchor for our patients and our Brain Health Navigator team, leading evaluation, testing, prescribing, and medical decision-making, working closely with the board-certified neurologist on our clinical team.

You'll support patients and their families across a range of needs: people focused on prevention; people quietly concerned about health changes; people with clearly abnormal symptoms, tests or results; and people living with a diagnosis.

We're looking for an experienced clinician with real expertise in, and passion for, cognitive and brain health. You'll join early enough to build our clinical foundation, turning ideas into the protocols, workflows, and systems behind a new model of care.

This is a fully remote, telehealth role.

What you'll do

  • Conduct telehealth visits to evaluate patients, interpret assessment results, and set clinical plans.
  • Order and review tests to identify what's driving neurological and cognitive change.
  • Prescribe and manage treatments
  • Refer patients to external partners, including neurology, neuropsychology, and other specialties
  • Refer eligible patients to clinical trial liaisons when appropriate
  • Provide clinical supervision to Brain Health Navigators: review escalated cases, answer clinical questions, and sign off on care plans
  • Regular case review with our neurologists, and a physician available for consults
  • Communicate with patients' primary care physicians and specialists to keep care coordinated.
  • Help develop clinical protocols, escalation pathways, and quality standards as we grow.

What you bring

  • Active, unrestricted license as an NP or PA, with board certification in your field. Multi-state licensure is a plus.
  • DEA registration, and willingness to obtain licenses in additional states.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in neurology, geriatrics, primary care, or internal medicine – with interest and experience in cognitive/memory care
  • Strong knowledge of aging, cognition, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and dementia, and their relevant risks.
  • Skill and warmth delivering difficult news and supporting patients and families through it
  • A private, quiet workspace and reliable internet for confidential patient calls
  • Excitement about joining a fast-moving, early-stage startup, and comfort with ambiguity and evolving workflows.

Details

  • Fully remote telehealth, open to clinicians licensed in any US state. Multi-state licensure is a strong plus, and you’ll obtain additional state licenses as our patient base grows, with our support
  • Part-time W-2 role, with a clear path to full-time
  • Hours: ~20-40 hours per week, growing as our patient base expands. All clinical and protocol work is paid.
  • Malpractice insurance: Fully covered by Primary Brain Health, P.A.
  • Compensation: $70-$120 per hour, based on experience in neurology or memory care, multi-state licensure, and years of clinical practice
  • Growth: Potential for clinical leadership roles as the team expands
