Right now, we’re looking for a Sr. Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, a role critical to driving Spark’s financial strategy, managing liquidity, and supporting executive decision-making. The role will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes, oversee cash flow planning and treasury operations, and work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, provide insights, and support strategic planning initiatives.

This role is remote in the US, with a preference for the NYC area or South Florida. 

What You'll Be Up To

  • Lead comprehensive financial analysis, including revenue forecasting, expense analysis, profitability assessment, and KPI tracking
  • Prepare financial reports and dashboards for leadership, board members, and external stakeholders
  • Translate complex financial data into compelling business narratives; craft executive-ready presentations that clearly communicate performance trends, strategic insights, and financial implications
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and maintain accurate financial budgets and forecasts, support strategic initiatives and cost-efficiency efforts
  • Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Develop robust financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, pricing strategies, and long-range planning. Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess potential risks and opportunities
  • Manage cash flow forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and strategic needs. Implement cash management strategies to improve capital efficiency
  • Manage and mentor the Associate Manager, FP&A, fostering a high-performance team culture

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a management role
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, strategic finance and cash management
  • Experience working with subscription businesses or performance marketing organizations strongly preferred 
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, liquidity management, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial planning systems (Adaptive Insights or similar)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex data into strategic insights
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven leadership capabilities and a collaborative management style
