WHAT YOU WILL DO


As a Software Project Manager, you will lead the successful execution of signed custom software projects, ensuring they deliver measurable results and align with client goals. You’ll coordinate resources, manage budgets and timelines, and serve as the primary point of contact for proactive client communication. On any given day, you might be building detailed project plans, updating backlog and forecasts, monitoring client satisfaction, or addressing risks before they escalate.


You’ll collaborate with directors, developers, and designers to deliver complex custom applications, while also working with contracted experts when needed. Some travel may occasionally be required to meet with clients and project teams.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to execute projects successfully.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Provide consistent weekly client updates, including progress and burn rates, supported by calls, emails, and occasional in-person meetings.
  • Maintain proactive, professional client communication.
  • Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and manage scope, schedule, and cost adjustments.
  • Update backlog and resource planning weekly to maintain accurate revenue forecasting.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, escalating risks early to leadership when necessary.
  • Work with Account Executives, Client Growth Specialists, and the VP of Client Success to identify and support new revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, address concerns before they escalate, and anticipate needs by proposing proactive solutions.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks and ensure stability.
  • Review deliverables for quality and completeness before sharing with clients.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, strengthen communication, and drive better outcomes.


WHAT YOU NEED


  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally blending education and professional work.
  • Experience in a software agency environment, managing multiple complex projects at once.
  • Strong ability to navigate conversations with internal teams and clients about budgets and priorities.
  • Hands-on experience building project plans, tracking KPIs, and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented approach.
  • Experience contributing to business strategy and solutions.


NICE TO HAVE


  • BA in Business and/or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of the construction and manufacturing industries.
  • Experience in identifying and supporting sales opportunities in alignment with client needs.
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership on slaes and marketing strategies.

SALARY RANGE


$80,000 - $90,000
